Agree with all that - I think the issue is that the opposition know if they stop McVeigh, it's a coin toss whether Jack or Bolton will take up the slack.

I think O'Keefe's problem is he's trying to do too much.

I turned the sound off. She (and Lloyd) are just painful to listen to.

          For CTS and maybe Damien,

38 points the difference, first half 4 non free kicks = 4 dogs goals, 2 non free kicks = swans non shots at goal - full time, free kick tally: 20 to 13.

Not saying we didn't play @@@@, but did your claimed tendency occur?

I have a sneaky suspicion that O'Keefe is carrying an injury. he was in really really good form then a few weeks ago completely dropped off. Again today he was OK early then hardly touched it in the second half, to me that would indicate an injury that gets sorer as the game wears on.

This is all bitterly disappointing ...after winning 5 in a row, good game against Saint Kilda...won most of the pre season matches for once. Was it all an abheration?

Although his sentences aren't as well formed as you might like, I still agree with Lloyd's appraisal of the situation: you can't have those particular players out and expect to set the world on fire. Just think about what is lost when you have to use Bolton as your primary target up forward for a half...

The only good things to come out of this game were that I thought Shaw was very good, Smith is unobtrusive but does a good defensive job and I guess Mattner was OK. All in the backline unfortunately.

Goodesy did well and at least he kicks 'em when in front. Very handy the 2's had a bye - NOT! No exposed form to put pressure on the rest.

Have to stick with Pyke for next week - but I reckon we'll do OK against Freo at SCG.

We have pretty significant injuries, 6 key players.

Like i mentioned earlier, it is very rare that you lose your best backman, best forward, 2 best ruckman and a goal sneak. Our injuries have come at a horrible time, taking on Geelong then the Dogs with our injury toll is just plain unlucky.

True...but we only look like getting 2 of the 6 back in the near future!

We are missing our entire forward line...

                            Bradshaw...not there
                            White...Playing in ruck
                            Mycglyn....injured
                            Moore..Injured
Goodes there but also in midfield

We beat them in inside 50's just couldn't put it on the score board.

Had we had our proper structure of Bradshaw, White, Mcglynn, Moore, Goodes + a resting midfielder today would have been a different store.

sure we missed all these players, but the selectors got it wrong. When it was obvious to most that Braddy wasnt going to play and a loss was inevitable they should have tried some of the youngsters Currie Ves etc instead of playfair bevan etc. The kids need game time playfair isnt going to ever give us anything.

The Swans seem to forget what play on is when they come up against opposition they think are good? too many missed kicks and lack of pressure on the ball handler...the 5 games we won in you'll notice that we actually played on and hit our targets, the past two weeks we have held up play at every chance and have turned the ball over each time.....what I'd give to see the play on swans each week...
