The thing I learnt from this game is that our younger players are becoming more important than older guys like O'Keefe, Bolton, Goodes and Kirk. Kirk and Jude are finished.

We need to keep playing the kids.

Wouldnt have a go at Goodes he has been our best player for the last decade and tried. J Bolton, Kirk were a lot worse, our season is over we are shocking, just hope I see us when another grand final in my life time.
It sad i cant see us when too many games this season and cant see much light.

Yes and that is why we are bagging him. You seem to contradict yourself in your own post. So goodbye off this thread.

Didn't deserve to win. Goodes was crap and continues to be one of the most frustrating players. Hanners on the other hand is going to be a superstar.

As Roos always points out that to win we need contributors across the ground. Unfortunately we had too many players not at their best.

As for White, what on earth are you on about? White had easily his best game of the year, he lead and marked well from FF, he hit packs hard, he brought the ball to ground, and he bagged 3 important goals.
You really think we are evenly placed this year? The game was there to be won against a sub standard hawthorn with their general off injured..and yet we still couldnt kick a goal. Teams like carlton and melbourne are passing us by..heck even the bummers.

I still didn't rate his game gave away stupid free kicks at crucial times. Sorry but i see him as wasted. I want too see TDL given a go in place of white.

So, let me get this straight........you would drop Goodes?

Incredible - a coach would be sacked by the board if he did that.

Frustrating player. Just a poor kick at goal too.

This was always going to be a rebuilding year and you know what, I'm bloody excited by the youngsters we're giving game time to. The next few years once these kids get more experience are going to be great.

WHy is everyone writing us off?

We're 5-5 pretty sure we're still in the 8 after this round. Have 2 winnable games against bombers at home and port away and should get Bradshaw, Kennelly and Mcglynn back for Pies game.

                      Season is nowhere near over.

I wouldn't drop Goodes, but Roos has every right to drop anyone he wants, he is the senior coach. I'd be more pissed off if I knew Roos was under pressure to play someone than if he dropped someone I liked or admired!

You seem to have forgotten rather quickly how easily we accounted for Adelaide, Richmond, North, West Coast and Brisbane. Yeah, none of them are worldbeaters, but we beat them all convincingly, and played some really, really good footy. We are a mid-level side, and at full strength, definitely a finals side at the very least.

As for White, so depite the fact that he was our most productive forward, you "just don't rate his game". He also only gave away ONE free kick. He was great today, and it will have given him a lot of confidence.
Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!

I'm starting to forget the words to the song....

Anyway - Am starting to lose faith in Shaw. Soon I'll be one of those people here who blame an individual for anything, even broad social change.

5 weeks i would have pencilled in an easy win against the bummers..i have been forced to watch them (only team that has played every game on fta in melbs this year) and they should beat us easily. Port are just unpredictable atm.
