I will be very disappointed if shaw returns to the back pocket.

Jettas disposal skills and tackling (or running down oponents to make them dispose of the ball early) was the best on ground in his first 4 or 5 games but unfortunately not kicking a goal had taken its affect on all of his skills and he started to doubt himself...
I am very happy he is back in the team after a few games in the two'sLast edited by Peace; 23 July 2010, 05:09 PM.Comment

So that sounds fantastic...but have you ever made a mistake? Have you ever made an error of judgement? Are you totally impartial in all your dealings? Do you prefer some work styles to others? Can you work with someone you dislike immensely yet who is good for the team? Are you above criticism? How do you handle criticism?
All i am saying is that we should not assume coaches can't also have human failings and make major mistakes in any area. Coaching is also more than just being a good manager, its about leadership and inspiration.Great coaches are hard to find because stern managers often fail to inspire and inspiring leaders often fail to manage. IMO.I rate Roosey but also believe he has made a few mistakes this season. I believe We should all be able to voice criticism of the coach without the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse descending on us.The role of the coach is pivitol in a footy club, and therefore he should not be above crtiticism nor should we assume every decision is always a good one.Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!Comment

I was of the opinion that Jetstar needed a break in the 2's when he did, but after watching him run around in the 2's with a bit more freedom and do the things he was doing earlier in the year, I'm just as glad that he is back.Driver of the Dan Hannebery bandwagon....all aboard. 4th April 09Comment

I'd have preferred Rohan, but Lewis III could do very well, and Melbourne is not a bad side to have him back for.He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)Comment

It might be a bit of lateral thinking. You could bring Rohan back against the Cats and he'd not be overawed. But I think Jetta has to be massaged back into the team - this is the last chance for the next month to do that. If he steps up this weekend then he'll have the confidence against the really hard teams.Comment

The guy strained a calf in the first quarter last week. He went off 15 minutes into the last quarter with a noticeable limp. After the game he hobbled on to the ground with an ice pack on his calf. Calf injuries are recognised as second only to hammies in recovery time. The fact that he played on might be in his favour, but then again it might not. When you do a calf it sometimes feels a bit sore but it is when it cools down that you really feel it. I have done my left calf a few times running and you just don't know if you are over it until you give it a real stretch and sometimes then it just pops out again just when you reckon you are over it.Comment

Unfortutely with no reserves this week we won't know until one hour before game time. Unless someone spots them at the airport and two or more of Rohan TDL and Reid and flying downComment
