    They will name him for mind games, and then he pulls out at the last minute and the fully intended player gets the call up as an emergency.

      Glad to hear that. For some reason had decided it was a final 5.

      In terms of eligibility, in most competitions the rules are that any member of a squad is eligible to play reserve grade while their senior team is still alive. As soon as the senior team gets knocked out, a games played criterion comes into play. The aim is to make sure teams don't stack their reserve team unfairly but not to penalise them managing their squads while the senior team is still up and running.
