It absolutely is a big risk, but I imagine it's view as a high risk/high reward. It's an interesting one- a guy on the way out is more likely to take a big swing and a miss, I guess.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

I have an idea - how about we play Bradshaw as planned, but try to sneak Jesse on as well when no ones looking. It worked for us a few years ago with Jesse didnt it?

        The Mummy and The Mountie.

It sounds like the title of a horror movie. I wish.

It sounds better than Brokeback Mountain!!!
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Not having a go at you CS, but if this was the criteria for selection, then McVeigh should be in a lot of trouble.

Interesting that McV has been overlooked in all this. I think his game has been found wanting lately.

Completely agree, I finally just watched the replay and realised that McV had a shocker last Sunday

Nup. Some critical possessions in the last qr - like most players on the ground, had quiet patches, but quality possessions when they most counted made him an important player.

That's how I saw it. We must be a good side if we're thinking about dropping McVeigh

Watching the game live, I did get a bit frustrated with McVeigh at times because he looked a little lacksadaisical and low intensity at times. And of course, he missed a couple of very gettable shots at goal. That one at the start of the 3rd quarter was particularly annoying. But watching the replay I appreciate his efforts a lot more. He does have a touch of class that many of our mids lack, and generally keeps his head in traffic, thinking about the right option rather than just disposing of the ball for the sake of it.

However Macca is the Mountie's shotgun. Also he is the Events Director most of the time in the midfield. Just stay away from the goals Macca.

True. I knew as soon a I posted it that the call for McV to go was the wrong one. He's too important for us and his shocker in front of goals is easily more memorable than all the good stuff he does.

In my own defence it was following a few end-of-week drinks, and I'm really dissapointed about Bevo. My point was if Bevo was dropped for missing shots on goal (which I know is probably incorrect) then there are better candidates in that category.

Bevan was not dropped for missing that goal.

You can't fit 23 into 22 and McGlyn if fit is a certain starter so someone playing that small forward role needed to go.

Could have been either of Moore and Bevan, but I think Moore provides more of an x factor from nothing that can be needed in a tight final.

Sayng all that, I have been a Bevo fan for a long time for what he adds to the team and it was disappointing that he was dropped to fit McGlyn in.

Not how I would have described Moore in any context.

The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.

You obivously don't watch the same game I do.

Has that ability with his hands and feet to do something out of nothing, take that kick last week to TDL which he lobbed off his boot to the right and smack bang between two Carlton players.

We do not have too many others in the side who are capable of that from nothing.
