    Swans and Jolly

Where do I write a nice little letter to Jolly. His comments in Sydney paper today and how big Collingwood are and how small the Swans are.
10 times bigger excitement and buildup for this grand final than the Swans.

Mr Jolly do you not remember it was the Swans who gave you the chance when Melbourne did not want you. It was the Swans ruck coach who trained you and the Swans ruck coach you asked advice from earlier this year. You must have a small brain and memory if you cannot remember who gave you the chance.
Thanks but no thanks to you we lost the 2006 grand final with your lack of thought for the team.
You have a real hide comparing us to Collingwood. You are there because you were told to go home to Melbourne by your wife. You had to go back to Melb you could not even give us credit.

Creep hope you lose the grand final and maybe you can run away this week and appear just before the game like you did to us.
Jolly wake up and remember where you got the chance and where you learnt your trade.

Very angry swans supporter who cannot believe you do not give a damn about us.
    Love those Swans

I was ambivalent-to-negative about booing Bazza. For Jolly, the kid gloves are off, vocally speaking. Booooo eternal.

Which Sydney paper? Got a link?
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

        Pies are huge.
What is he meant say..."yeah nah...even though I'm playing for the Pies machine they are too big really. I owe everything I am to the Swans and when I am finished playing I am giving Steve Taubert and Paul Roos my children as I owe them everything".
He's about to play in his 3rd GF and is having an awesome end to the season and he should enjoy every minute of it.

Dead to me too. I was thinking the other day, how many players in history have won premierships in their first year at two clubs? I can't think of any. I know a few players have won premierships at two clubs, but I seriously doubt many if any have walked into two clubs in their premiership year.

I want Schneider and Dempster to win their next flag before Jolly.

Really disappointing his comments not only today but earlier in the year towards the club that made him into the player that he is today. I hope that the Saints steamroll those dirty pies next Saturday.

And don't forget Sydney facilitated a trade when he was still contracted.

I defended Jolly through the 2006 GF debacle, something that i massively regret.

Jolly may be a decent player, but as a person he's the greatest hack I know. Pandering to the Collinwood gallery or not, I don't care.

Plugger, Hall, Spyda and many other recruits to the Swans have observed exactly the same thing in recent years, just from a different angle. They were able to live in comparative anonymity in Sydney as the hype surrounding footy (AFL) simply doesn't compare to that which is experienced in Melbourne.

Jolly said it was 10 times bigger.... I reckon that probably flatters Sydney. The Pies will train in front of thousands this week. Everywhere he goes, people will be clamouring to talk to him, interview him, photograph him, get his autograph. In supposedly the most sports mad city Australia if not the world, the biggest club with the most fans has made the Grand Final. Even if you don't support Collingwood, your feelings for them are still passionate - you hate them.

Look at it like this, if Collingwood had played the Kangaroos in an elimination final in torrential rain at Homebush, there would have been a lot more than 19k there, because they all would have somehow found a way to get there.

If he had said the build up is no bigger than it was in Sydney, it would have been an obvious and pointless lie.

I really can't understand why you've all got your knickers in knots...

And anyway, he's a bloody Collingwood player now, who gives a @@@@ what he thinks?

ive actually met jolly at the hall of fame and spoken to him for about 15 minutes. he is a top bloke, and really nice and talkative and interested in conversation. It's hard for me to think he would say this about the club who made him who he is.
LRT. Lord Roberts-Thompson. He may look like the Munster, but looks can be deceiving.

Going around and getting upset by a relatively innocuous newspaper article is not the fortitude that won the Swans the close ones.

The reality is you would hardly have known the Swans were in a grand final in 2005 or 2006 if you were walking around Sydney. And even Mick Malthouse was commenting on the noise at the MCG the other night.

Nevertheless I hope the Saints smash the Pies.
