V Collingwood @ Etihad on Friday Night 7.40pm

    Good result in the end!

If we had beaten GC we would have been playing the Weagles in Perth.

    TV:

    Southern States - Channel 7: 8.30pm

Sydney, Brisbane etc: Main Event 518 on Foxtel - Live. (replay on 7 at around midnight)

    ******

Seven may show it on a digital channel in the northern states now that the Swans are involved, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Any details yet for the non-competitive practice game for the Swans, the weekend after next?

He is. The singing is okay but the showmanship is awesome.

As it's the Pies, I presume it's on 10 and 7, 9 and ABC with all night replays on every Fox channel? Then there's a special panel of all state premiers assessing Collingwood's chances of back-to-back flags, hosted by the PM, with special comments by Barack Obama.

Can we look forward to 40 pages of the Hun on Saturday and a commemorative NAB Cup edition on Sunday? The following week either the Pies or us will be gone so we'll probably be back at Rooty Hill playing some other nobody team, with a single late-night reference on SEN.

Woohoo, the one good thing about playing Collingwood is that we get on TV.

This works pretty well for me - I have to pick up my girlfriend at the airport just after midnight on Friday night. I was wondering how I was going to pass the time from work until then. I think I know how I'll be doing that now!

Undecided whether I'll be at the game or if I'll watch the telecast. The hour delay on TV is pushing me toward actually going to the game though.

My question is. Is this a ticketed game as is always the case with Sydney V Collingwood games at Ethihad Stadium? Just because it is a NAB Cup game doesn't mean less Pies supporters will go.

I have no trouble getting there very early if it is not, but others can't do that.

Well I went to the Collingwood vs Carlton vs Richmond 1st round fixture and between the 3 of them, they managed 40,300 people throught the turnstyles. Very impressive but that still leaves a free 15,000 seats. So I'm pretty sure that you'll be able to rock up and scan your membership/buy Gen adm ticket and get in pretty easily. If you want to play it safe, book ahead, but I really dont think you need to.
