Longmire talks of playing Pyke down back. I wouldn't mind seeing him have a run on Cloke on Friday night...
To my mind, exactly the kind of run-with job he needs - and is fast enough and big enough to be good at, as his positional sense grows.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

We're aiming to have the best defence in the league. Fine idea, but no need to advertise it, especially two days before meeting the Pies.

Good to see our old mate Trent Malceski getting a guernsey.

Typical afl.com, they can't even get Nick Dennis Lane's name right.

Too late for me. Oh my, it was like the most stupid, ill-advised, ignorant posts about the swans were taken from BF and placed into a nice condensed 20 comments. "Tiges for the premiership in 2010!" yep, good work.

I am speechless (well almost), I could not imagine anyone seriously leaving Reg out of the starting 18, let alone the 22.

Without Reg's improvement last year the opposition's key forwards would have a field day and I don't think we would have made the finals, well maybe on percentage we might have snuck in.

I see they are playing Curry again. Now, I have a problem with this. I do not have any faith in him. But the PTB must know something I don't. I don't think he is a good player nor can I see that he will bein the future. Please note, these are exactly my sentiments in the past about McVeigh (B&F winner) and Reg. So what would I know.

I think you got this one right Primmy. I cant see any point in playing him.

I think it's a sound choice to play Currie. He has 7 months to show that he is worthy to keep on the list in some capacity and he is been given every chance in the pre-season to give evidence of that. The NAB Cup doesn't matter, so what better then to use this game against Collingwood to see if he can match it in the big league?
