I am not afraid to admit that i've been a Bevan basher for many years! After last week i wanted him to be banished from the team, never to be seen again as i felt his many errors down back probably cost us a win! I was disappointed come Thursday to see that he was still selected in the team and thought that perhaps a Sumner or Seaby must've felt a bit stiff! Well after 1 qtr today i realised i might've been a bit quick to have Bevo hung, drawn and quartered! His hardness and pressure was a huge asset to the forward line and his sometime mistakes/brain explosions aren't as damaging costing us opposition goals! I'm happy to see Bevo selected every week if he can put in efforts like that and he must be played as a small forward because his hardness and marking ability as a mid sized/small forward does not only get him amongst the goals but also helps to create goals for others! Well done Bevo!

Bevan did very well today. I thought it was going to be a long day come 1/4 time, based on the way the match was being officiated, but it all settled down after that and the better team won IMO. I must admit that I had been wondering where Bennie was all day until the 4th quarter but he earned his keep then! Mattner was very good again too.Today's a draft of your epitaphComment

it is a game we would of let slip even last year perhaps, we played poorly and still won, can only get betterTheres not much left to sayComment

Yes, predictions of his imminent demise look foolish at the moment. And I confess I was one who wondered if we'd start to see him struggle this year. His three goals last week were obviously important. This week it wasn't just his three goals but his work in the middle of the ground too. Great game.Comment

Jude was bloody brilliant.
A bummer fan at the beginning of the game said that they couldn't believe we had "old man bolton" still playing for us.
I made him eat those words at the end of the game.
Tosser.Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

After 2 rounds we have 6 points out of a possible 8. We should have 0 points realistically, but thank the footy gods for clutching victory from defeat today.
What an absolute pathetic performance that was again. We didn't deserve to win. I haven't watched the replay yet but I don't know how we managed to get back....
Watching it live (on tv) the blunders do stand out and are incredibly frustrating, but watching a replay, without the stress of wondering "will we win", you can see lots of positives."Fortunately, this is the internet, so knowing nothing is no obstacle to having an opinion!." Just watching it now. I did note at the game the physical effort from the younger guys to spoil the ball in that last qtr.
Problem watching at the game, is you're trying to concentrate on the game whilst your heart is going 190 bpm.In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.Comment

The negatives this week were.... skill errors and bad decisions....And plenty of them.
McVeighs form is poor, reminds me of 07-08 form..he needs to concentrate on his own game and stop trying to be a captain (an appointment I'm not at all sure about, from an on field perspective).
The positives were... these short comings were countered by a great team effort when it came to pressure without the ball.
And an even spread of contributors.
I really liked Smiths game, he is a fabulous player, who makes excellent decisions with excellent skill, consistently.
Reid showed what a good prospect he is.
And the usual suspects all did their bit.Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it's time to pause and reflect... MTComment

That was a game, wasn't it. Had everything, good, really bad to awful, then the bloods found their way and all hail Benny! and Jude! and Adam! and bless the man Bevo! as for my boy Ted, it was like CBolts was channelling.
I have a theory about the slightly chaotic approach. The guys have Kirky's voice so ingrained into them that not having it is unbalancing the ship somewhat. It will settle; I am not going to diss Macca, he was working his arse off even if not being wonderful. It took quite a while for Stuey to settle into on ground Captaincy, and Adam too, so we must give breathing space to the bloke. You heard/read his speach, he has it in him, he needs a bit of space.
Looking forward to settling down with a white, a few cashews and plenty of time to watch it on replay! Some of the umpiring decisions had me completely stumped - both for and against - to such a degree I was booing one decision and it was in our favour! If you've never jumped from one couch to the other to save yourself from lava then you didn't have a childhoodComment

Yep Jude played a blinder. He must have remarkable stamina. At one point late in the game when he forced the ball over the line he looked like he wouldn't have blown out a candle. Goodes was the same. I belive Jude had 16 hard ball gets. Are RC's training methods producing the goods as per body strength. Our blokes just kept on bouncing up and laying tackles when the chips were down.Comment
