Puzzling, Everitt didn't play reserves last week. Must have trained the house down.

        Noooooooooooo!

I am a little disappointed to see Parker miss out, but not overly surprised.

I just don't get why they would leave Johnston out after just one match. Everitt didn't even play last week so it's not like he has made himself un-notpickable.

Can't wait for all the apologies I'm due from the people who shouted at me for saying that LJ was a bit rubbish in the North matchday thread....

Isn't Everitt's selection rather like Mitchell Johnson for the Test team against the Poms? Played badly in brissy, got dropped for the next test..didn't play anywhere in between and got selected for Perth, the third test. Then went out and played his best (in fact only good one game) for the summer?
Following that logic, I guess Everitt should kick 6 goals this weekend.

Yeah I agree Liz...Surely Johnston was worth another game ahead of Everitt, his form has been patchy at best.

Him getting dropped doesn't mean he was rubbish. Everitt was picked several times after @@@@ty performances.

Horse said Everitt will be more flexible front and back and I think RLT may not play so much in the ruck this time. By the way Everitt 194/89 > Johnston 192/84. I still prefer Currie (201 /97) in.

Very pleased to see TDL back. They're looking for "forward line pressure" apparently; I hope TDL is not expected to do that all by himself. I guess Everitt as the "bigger" forward option, unless LRT is played forward again to bring the ball down?

It's a shame White can't get his crash-and-spill role together in the seniors (forget marking), or else him + TDL would be a great combination.

                      GRRRRR

Everitt has a gold pass at the Swans, has done absolutely nothing to deserve a spot in the senior side

                      Another masterstroke from Horse

Going to be hard to fit everyone in the team as the injury list gets shorter but it is a shame for LJ and his confidence to be dropped after one game (unless he is injured). We have to expect it to take many games for him to have an impact.

Still two young players out for two young players in. Happy to see TDL. I think the changes will help us win the game so understand the reasoning.

Can't fathom why you think you are owed an apology.

Most people recognise that younger players can't be expected to come in and set the world on fire in their first games. And the "just play the kids" catchcry is simplistic in my opinion. However, at some point it is about balancing the current with the future and giving these kids a chance to get a decent taste of senior footy.

If LRT is at full back who is going to assist Seaby in ruck? Everitt!!! Our FF line Macca, Goodes and ROK are the three who need goal kicking practice. I am worried.

LRT will do what he did last week. Ignore the field placings in the selected side.

It looks a good side on paper, the thing we are missing is a power forward, there are a lot of midfielders running around the forward line in the team on paper, and to expect Reid and TDL to kick all yr goals is a bit much, altho I suppose with Benny pitching in his 3 and if ROK can get his average goal a game, we might be ok. I can't fathom Everitt, unless it's a specific match up or Horse doesn't want to play Johnston too much at once. I personally would stick with him, of course, I have the brains of a duck, as compared to the coaches etc
