No doubt Vossy remembered this approach, looked at what transpired over the following seasons, and decided to plagiarise directly from the 'Roos school of coaching manual'.
Hopefully tomorrow night's result doesn't fall into that reversal as well.
In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.

Very classy, but only a kid, so will need as rest sooner or later.

With the byes I think he might be fine. He's playing as a true defender so I don't understand why he'd been too weary. If he was having stints in midfield I'd understand.

I really like him personally. He's doing a good job for a young kid who was only drafted this year, which is amazing to consider actually. Almost has made a seemless transition.

If we're picking our forwards based on their ability to defend against opposition defenders, then I think that's being too defensive. It may explain why we kick such low scores though.
I agree Red I think our lack of scoring this year is due to negative tactics & just bombing the ball in to our big men. A tactic that is not working & with TDL wiln option. Our 2's play a much more enjoyable style of footy, exciting, high scoring & fast. Then they come into the seniors & no wonder most of them are lost the game plan is totally different, defensive, negative, messy Rugby style & boring. Not to mention ugly. Even Roos didn't coach this ugly when he didn't have the cattle. We now have the cattle & are developing them so let them play to their strengths not this crap.

ASJ reminds me a bit of MacFarlane when he first started with the Hawks, tall & gangly but lots of talent & composure. Strong mark, very good kisk & handball skills make the cat purrrrr. Can't see him in the 2's for a long time to come barring injury.

I would have left LJ there for another week at least, left Everitt out. What I wat to know is what is the flexability Everitt is supposed to bring. You can't put him in the backline, he gives the ball up too much & there is no evidence he is a good mid fielder. He is a passable forward. Maybe he could play as a tall winger ala Dick Clay in his early footy. Lj can play forward or back & is tall enough to give the rucks a rest, hoe bout that. TDL had to come though Nich.

Fair call having Everitt as sub. Midfield need to control the match tonight for us to win.

Really don't understand that at all. It's as if the coaches are picking the twenty two and then on match day selecting one as the sub. It also probably means Goodes deep forward.

I'm just onto my second beer and am driving Goody Stella made by playing Kate Bush. Pretty similar to what Goodesy is doing right now no doubt.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

I saw it more as a flexability option Ugg...forward or back depending on the need.
