Too many defenders, especially against the height challenged Crows. Might see LRT return forward or perhaps to ShockofHair's delight, Reggie? Or maybe AJ will finally earn a Rising Star nom with a stint as a forward?
Hmmm... so what did Lewis Jetta do in the ressies last week to justify his return? and what did Lewis Johnston do wrong ?
I suspect it is about balance. Two talls are coming back in - and I think the match committee can reasonably think that these two have earned their place on form over the season.
Two smalls / mediums are out with injury and hence two are brought into the team. Johnston might be a tad unlucky but sometimes things aren't always completely fair. I suspect Meredith might have been in with a shout as a Malceski replacement had he not been the non-playing emergency last week.
Obviously Jetta must have been impressive in the ressies win and worked hard on getting his game right
Read Liz's comment. With the ones out I think Jetta came in for balance. Without the injuries I suspect he'd be still in the Ressies.

I don't disagree Liz but when Jetta gets dropped for lack of form, has a sub standard performance in the ressies, then is promoted the week after it smacks of desperation. It also sends a poor message to the in form players in the ressies vying for selection.
Thanks Big Al - I have read Liz's reply. aardvark has also asked a similar question. As a new poster I am obviously unable to have an opinion. Put the red pen back in your pocket.

Who should come in then?? Sumner might have been considered, maybe Meredith. I think with the injuries I'm reasonably happy with Jettas inclusion.
Also Sub Standard implies a terrible game and it was far from that.

I'd prefer LRT to line up on Tippett down back as he is the best fit body wise but the way the Crows bomb it in without regard for how many defenders are hanging off Tippett, hopefully it won't matter. Grundy will probably get the job and Ted will be in to double team I imagine. The rest of the Crows forward line is quite small (aside from Moran who can go forward and ruck) so Johnson might have to play down.

Wtf... I disagree with your opinion which I'm entitled to do. Point out to me where I said you couldn't have an opinion. This is what we do here, we exchange opinions and have debate.
