Exactly. Mumford hasn't been the player for us this year that he was last year...Seaby has been a more than adequate replacement. Oh well, I hope it doesn't all turn to tears...

Grundy said in an article earlier in the week that the problem with the forwards missing goals was the delivery service.

Well, I'm happy to announce the "SILVER FORWARD DELIVERY SERVICE". This week the ball will be delivered to the forwards on a silver platter with all appropriate garnishes included.

Not sure if it's the Easter Bunny or Santa carrying the platter's. Will get back to you when I know more.

Very hard on Seaby missing out but good to see that the "Spang has been Sprung!!!!!!"

He copped a knock in the 1st qtr last week but ran the game out so I thought nothing more of it. Whatever he did it looks like he's aggravated it.

Tough luck for the him. Hopefully it's nothing serious.

4 genuine FB's in the team (plus AJ as another tall defender) - I can't see the logic but we all must be missing something I guess.

I'm sure I'm in the minority but I agree with Melbourne_Blood - I think Jesse has been a bit hard done by. I undertsand some of the criticisms, but he needs to either be given an extended run at it, or just be done with it and leave him in the reserves. Our whole strategy last week was dumb - just as Adelaide did with Tippett, we should have left Jesse in the goal sqaure and gone long, he would generally at least create a crumb, but over the course of a game in wet conditions you'll also get a couple of clumsy spoils from defenders that result in frees and easy goals (again a la Tippett).

Gee TDL is unlucky - that's the problem leaving him in the reserves too long, he hurts his foot kicking too many goals.

I get swinging the axe and all that after a loss, but I don't really understand the logic of dropping Seaby and White. I could get dropping Seaby OR White, presumably White first, but dropping both seems odd. Seaby has generally been playing well and has earnt his spot, if they didn't want to go with two traditional ruckmen then I thought White was perfectly fine as a backup last week. It's not blind White obsession at all, when he's been dropped previously I've got it- this one just puzzles me a bit, particularly thinking that this would be a good chance to get him some confidence playing at home.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

I slowly feel my confidence about this w/e slipping away.
              Very unlucky about TDL.
I hope Spangher performs and swaps places with Grundy

If we play like last week, we will give the Suns another win.

Totally agree about Seaby Robbo. The best teams have all got 2 rucks, Seaby can kick goals if given a chance . His field kicking is better than Mummy's. Mummy will get tired. GC only have to wait until the second half of each quarter to put Ablett on with Smith and they will be away. We need Seaby, this is dumb, really dumb. We need to team to adapt to having two rucks. Surely this is the offer of a gift to GWS at trade time.
We have them where we want them, everything is going according to plan!

This is the other issue - when you play @@@@ teams, you get the @@@@ (or perhaps to be more accurate, @@@@-er) umpires.

Now he gets dropped ? Whats the point of giving him a crack in the first place ?
54% game time, not much of that forward (I don't recall any, but I missed the first quarter)

Well done selectors...they've managed to leave us top heavy with talls but only one ruckman.
And this against a team whose strengths are, clearances, speed and skill.
Why drop Parker, who played well last week.
I would of thought this would of been a perfect chance for him, and also Sumner, to show their wares against players their own age.
The team is already overflowing with defenders.
Why is Kennelly still in the team, he has been woeful the last 2 weeks.
Why drop Seaby, who is in good form. Surely once the decision was made to play one ruckman Seaby had to be it.
Mummy was very ordinary last start and could do with some form and fitness finding, in the 2's.
We'll probably win the game but the team on paper looks predictable and very defensive.......Against the Gold coast of all teams.

I agree that dropping Parker was a bit harsh.
But I'm glad they got rid of White and Bevan; it was there time to go.
