If anything this is the way modern footy has gone, starting with Leigh Brown and rolling forward to be widely accepted today with even a player like Roughead who was a dominant forward a couple of years ago now praised for his ability to back up in the ruck. Name a team that plays two old fashioned ruckmen (ie with limited forward or roving ability) I can't think of one and would suggest that it is this thinking that is stuck in the past.
    Seaby v Richmond - 21 Disposals 39HO - 9 Clearances - BOG for many.
    Seaby v Collingwood - 14 Disposals 41 HO - 4 Clearances 12 Contested Possessions

Aveages can be very deceiving! Who says he can't play as an extra mid. Mummy's supposed to ne noted for it as well.
We have them where we want them, everything is going according to plan!

Yeah,I was thinking somethings going very wrong with the rehab.but didn't know who the physio was. 3 key players all quickly reinjured! Conclusion: they came back too soon and were not sufficiently prepared. Good Call Wolfie!

Relax everyone. Mr.Spanky (Southpark?) will be Full Forward. He will present a target which the midfield will find,he will kick 12 and all the debates will be over.

Don't google Mr Spanky you might not like what you see.

Also South Parks Mr Hanky is just a piece of @@@@.

4th... The suns will come at our commanding lead (of 15 points) and we will kick 4 behinds, 2 from Goodes, one from Benny Mac and one from Hanners, to stave them off in a "thriller".

Well, if it's our usual 3rd-quarter nap, might not be as bad vs the Suns 'cause that's about when they run out of puff too. Then our usual desperate 4th-quarter clawback will go unopposed!

So if they are not in the team they were never considered by the match committee.

I'm pretty sure they consider more players than just the 25 picked in the squad.

I'd hardly be getting excited about 14 disposals in the Collingwood game. While the Richmond stats were better, no-one could suggest he had anywhere near the presence that Kreuzer had against us and these two matches were against possibly the two weakest ruck match-ups going around.

Finally, given that the numbers I quoted were averages think about what the means for the rest of the games. For example: Round 10 (Seaby primary ruck), 5 disposals Round 13 (with Mumford playing) 2 Disposals.

Offer me Seaby as 2nd ruck or a mix of of LRT/White/Spangher pinch hitting and an extra outside player or fwd (remember Kennelly was being thrown up to be dropped by many on here) and I'll take the latter every time.
