Longmire - How much longer?

Longmire won't take us any where, one of those guys who should remain an assistant coach. The only thing different he has done is give LRT a run at full forward
because it was the only spot left. He has played non performers in Jetta and Kennelly for too long. His tactics of playing dry weather footy against Geelong and carlton in
the wedt lost me. Replace him with a Malthouse, or one from outside the club.Comment

Has he made mistakes?? Of course he has, he's human but the over reaction by some on here is stunning. If we were a top 4 side then I could understand the attitude to where we are but we are not a top 4 side and won't be until the talented youngsters we have at the club develop. (a big bodied forward would also be nice)..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. I listened to Footy Classified on Monday night and for once they actually talked about the Swans for a few moments. In the opinion of Grant Thomas, we 'lacked leadership'. He wasn't talking about Adam Goodes, but Kennelly, Bolton and OKeefe. He suggested that Jude hasn't contributed anything since coming back from injury and that ROK is not playing anywhere near the level we are used to. He thoughts about Kennelly's contributions were about the same as most RWO posters.
His remarks made me think of Mummy and Jack, neither of whom have got back to their best, then there are McVeigh and Malceski down on form, and toss in McGlynn far from his best and Jetta who is more useless than useful, LRT playing out of position, AJ and possibly Reid running out of steam ........ When you take these facts into consideration it helps explain the pathetic game on Sunday!Comment

To me watching AJ miss that gimme goal there are serious warning signs that all is not well in the Swans nest and players are playing nervously and without confidence.Comment

What do we expect from a coach? Here's a take on coaching that 's a good read, funny, and has more than a smidgen of truth about it:
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)Comment
