I dont think Bird is actually bringing much to the table at the moment (and those stas really do show it). He remains very one paced and his skills are not and have never been elite. He is not winning his own ball and TBH Bevan is not much worse a midfielder than he is. I do think Bird has flattered a bit to date and the love for him on this website does always surprise me.

Would love to gloss over it and say he's OK. He's not, can't tackle, can't run, and generally is a dispiriting presence.Comment

I'm with Drebin on this one, good call. He is a poor athlete and a defensive liability, he is unable to tackle or apply pressure to an AFL standard.Comment
