Clinton Jones is a good stopper whose possessions are telling - and Steven Baker was exactly the person I was thinking of when I posted the original post.

Bird is a good footballer, but I can see him being the one to make way if Jed Lamb, Tom Mitchell etc come on as expected.

He is a good average footballer. Plenty of good, average footballers don't play in premierships - @@@@ happens.

Agree to disagree, I think his potential has been hindered by years of feet issues. I believe him to be a very good player at the least if he could train and perform at the same level as his counterparts. I also believe hgis work in traffic and disposal is pretty solid (bar the odd to much hang time kick.). plenty of time to get there, he only turns 23 next year.

I don't see him ever playing the same role as lamb. As I see Lamb a half forward/pocket crumber.
