    .

I sat level 1, aisle 22, Row C on Saturday night, right near the St Kilda Cheer Squad in the St Kilda members section. Had lots of fun waving my scarf and giving it to some Saints Fans (just a bit of banter). Luckily had 3 other Swans supporters nearvy for some vocal support.

Kennelly has to go if they are serious about winning this week, his effort to go for a mark uncontested in the 1st quarter and missing the ball by a metre or two was embarassing.Great servant but could cost a game if we dont drop him.

Rohan will most likely be the sub although i hope not as his speed has been invaluable early in games, and Parker should get a full game.Bring in Reg if fit otherwise id go with Bulldog and maybe use Spang down back if needed, but if Buddy doesnt play the Hawks should have less tall forwards than is usual.

Whats the go with Mal?Shaw will obviously cop alot of attention this friday and Mal could be very helpful as that second playmaker from defence.

Hannerbury will play for mine, light work all week then a jab or two friday and he should be good to go.

      Out:Kennelly
      In:Bulldog or Mal.

The truth is that both tadhg and bird are our weaker links. Both are down on form and costing possession in bird's case (he missed targets with each of the kicks in front of me - so maybe it was just my side of the ground that was a problem) or lacking the ability to win possession in tadhg's (that mark looked like he was really worried about the contact, and his decision to kick the ball rather than take possession in the second quarter was only redeemed by raph clarke's equally bad decision to do the same thing and miss it. he kicked it into the most dangerous area on the field randomly).

But I can't really see either being dropped.

Mal is not much better a defender than tadhg and with the number of sore midfielders/on-ballers bird will probably keep playing.

No changes if possible in my mind. Mal seems out of form and confidence while Tadgh is getting better.

I still think winning this game will be incredibly hard with or without Franklin playing. I think a few of our supporters are getting a little ahead of themselves and getting sucked into Hawthorn's possible injuries. The fact is over this season the Hawks have been so much better than the Swans. When they beat us their midfield absolutely smashed us and made us look second rate. You can guarantee than after being embarrassed on Friday night, they will come out firing and hard at it. Our midfield needs to hold itself together and at least break even with Hawthorn's.

I'm confident in our belief and our commitment, but it's going to take a mammoth effort to win. It's Goodesy 300th though, we've been on a steak of record breaking and this is the best form we've been in year. Everything does seems possible and I can't wait for Friday. Go Swans.

I really can't see them making any unforced changes this week - especially with the reserves having the week off too. Would think that if Rohan or Hanners don't come up then Parker could be back in the 21 and Malceski seems the only other option - I don't actually think we have any ressies who can step in to a final and not skip a beat ... Hoping no changes and don't think we'll see any if Rohan or Hanners have their say!

Southern Stand end I assume or hope anyway as the tickets I got for the game this morning automatically put me up that end, being the swans members end I think. I was a little surprised because it is usually the ponsford end where the cheersquad is.

The video of Goodes press conference at training today showed Hanners in the background stretching his quad out with his left arm. Tape him up Spangher style!

I am a massive fan of Craig Bird. But I don't think he's in great form. It's do or die, Jetta will respond really well from being dropped tear it up, BRING HIM IN!

And keep Jesse White. He is being more than solid right now, "playing a role". The only other guy who could potentially give us as much as White is Pyke, and that's a big if the Canadian hasn't played much football, do we risk that in a final? Hawks are really going to bounce back and apply huge pressure, especially up forward. Worried about Shaw, Richards and Tadgh under pressure, as good as the former pair have been this year. But they're experience is going to be vital, too, especially with young Johnson down there.

                  Great sleuthing Nich.

Hanners is fine, Rohan is fine, Mumford is cleared ... No changes!

Maybe Mal for LRT, depending on fitness levels & potential match-ups. Wouldn't bring Jetta in - love the kid but I'm not sure his body (or his mind) is up to the pressure of finals footy just yet.

Gotta say - one of Jets best games was in the final against the Dogs last year. He'll be burning that he isn't playing right now. Hopefully he is the type of kid that will use the disappointment to fuel a better 2012.

I think Richards especially can get jittery close to goal. He's not exactly nimble so he finds it hard to get the disposal out, and often makes a poor decision. Just heart in mouth stuff, in the same way as Leo Barry was.

I think Teddy in the latter part of this season is perhaps better at reading the play than even B2. That's a big call but he and Shaw and Nick (St Nick?) can claim to be the most in form Swans right now. Defend, attack, nullify - our present back line has it all. And LRT stepped in and stepped up admirably on Saturday. Cool under pressure. I think there's as much chance of any of those players being dropped, injuries apart, as Mumford, Goodes and ROK at the other end of the ground.

Its all well and good to have no change, but what if theres no buddy ? Hawthorn are hardly a tall forward set up as it is. Who will our tall defenders line up on ? We should Pick the best side to take on the Hawks team, and if there needs to be changes based on how we structure up against them, so be it.
