TWR mentioned Armstrong - Sumner situation. No news. Thought that if they are both uncontracted might just go to pre-season draft.

It's trade week after all. Doesn't make any sense when Armstrong is out of contract. TWR saying that it will probably be Armstrong-Sumner swap.

It shows why Lions have become a laughing stock as I think these picks are Freo's compensation picks and can be used in future drafts.

The amount of "done" deals I've read on forums is mind boggling but yeah I'd be mightily pissed if this occurred.

I've heard that Buddy and Bevan in a straight swap is a done deal. The Hawks are desperate to strengthen Box Hill.

Pretty sure they are not compensation picks. Pick 16 is their normal first round pick, and they traded their Palmer compensation pick to GWS. Pick 20 was originally the Saints' and they downgraded it to 25 with GWS in exchange for two prelisted players. I presume 20 was then passed onto Freo from GWS in return for the Palmer pick.

I reckon 16 and 20 is pretty light on for Clark, especially since the Dees think he is worth paying $1m per year.

I know I should be wiser than to listen to a BF rumor but I can't help but feel a little sick at the thought of flogging off Lewis Johnston for TA and pick 35. Even pick 24 wouldn't settle my queasiness. It isn't about his worth but the fact that we don't have many key forwards or players with good kicking skills and we are prepared to jettison one for dregs
