I also think that Matt Spangher surprised with his ability up front at the end of the yr and for a guy injured pre season and most of the season he has probably jumped ahead of LJ

BUT also Teddy and Grundy lea[ frogging LRT has left us with tall options over and above LJ !

could we convert Gilles into a KPForward ?

and or free up AJ to move forward if Gillies came on Board ?

AJ was always a forward !

What's the obsession with playing AJ forward? He's an absolute gun in defence, and did very little up forward. If he WAS to play forward, it would be at CHF, and we've already got that covered by another young gun. AJ doesn't have the frame for FF, and he's fantastic in defence. I'd rather try Gillies up forward if we were to chase him.

So folks, are we all strapped in for 6 hours of trading mayhem tomorrow? It all starts at 8am.

There will be some desperate dealings going on. I'm not sure how St.Kilda propose to relieve their salary cap problem as they've only moved one player out so far.

I'm in WA so it starts at 5am for me! I'm hoping we have a couple of irons in the fire, irons like Walsh and Fev!

A new name has emerged: Mitch Morton from Richmond. The article says he's a goalsneak (?) but I would class him more as a medium forward and he's also played on the wing for the Tiges. A "very late" draft pick, could it be the second pick we get from Adelaide?

I don't want him... Very surprising we want him, not because he doesn't potentially provide depth in an area we struggle in, but because Brent Macaffer still is on the trade table!! He's supposed to be lazy too and this would be his third club.

Can't understand it, but maybe they're looking into him anticipating that Walsh won't come.

Watters just said on TWR that Walsh is 'absolutely off the table'.

So was Shane Mumford, in theory. So was Darren Jolly. I still reckon we'll get him. If he's come to Sydney for a medical, he seems pretty set on the idea.

Did someone tell him he is out of contract. Luke Ball revisited hopefully.

As much as Watters may have talked to him, I'm sure the Swans have been in his ear as well in the last 24 hours.

And if this is really the case and not just talk from Watters, then clearly this is why we needed to trade for Armstrong as we couldnt get both Armstrong and Walsh in the preseason draft.

Can someone please clear this up for me, because every time I look at the Herald Sun site I feel sick. The Trade Week section lists Sydney as swapping LJ AND pick 35 for Armstrong and a late pick. Is this correct?

Ah, I see what they have done - they swapped the clubs around. Editing at its best...

TWR says Swans with Longmire and Stewie have just arrived. So they mean business on the last day. They weren't attending on the last day last year.

Its the Melbourne media and Swans thing. They can't help it poor souls. Any chance to get it wrong and they leap at it.
