I still hope Nipper gets a good run next year, he deserves it.

The Swans have ben one of the best performers at the trade table for years IMO
      I'm happy

      And now I'm VERY happy.
Good old Swans came through again at trade week.
In fact the best trading they've ever done i suspect.

Delighted with today's deals. So we lost Johnston and Pick 79 for Walsh, Armstrong and Morton? I'd call that a great deal.

Would be very hard to NOT be pleased with this years trade period. We traded 1 potentially good forward and 1 late pick for 2 potentially good forwards and 1 potentially good half back/mid. Theres a lot of potential there!

On paper it would seem that way, but its far too early to say. I think it will take at least 2 or 3 years before we can really tell how well we've gone this trade period. I am extremely happy that we have upset the Saints though.

Thanks Big Al Yes I'm placated with the two additions today!!!

Really like Morton, we really need someone up forward with a bit of x factor

i would have thought 2009 when we got Mummy, Kennedy and McGylnn was prob our best trade outcome....

I would still have 2009 trading ahead of this year as in 2009 we brought in McGlynn, Kennedy, and Mumford.
But hopefully in 12mths time i can say yes 2009 trade period was good but 2011 was fantastic

In a compromised draft to pick up Mitchell Walsh Morton and Armstrong and lose Johnston must be considered a good year, real potential for sure, time will tell just how good.

I must be one of the few who are disappointed, Morton is a twice rejected head case who can only kick around corners (and is a tigger reject, which is another matter!), Armstrong has had serious discipline issues and Walsh hasn't played a game in anger. Without Mitchell there would be nothing to show for young talent. Am i being too pessimistic?

Its better; with GWS and Gold Coast still holding all the cards, what really could we have hope for?

We needed replacements for Bolton and Bradshaw; and anyone who could make White realize his days are number if he doesn't perform better as a key forward.

We got three players who maybe can fill the gaps, and provide support for Reid.

Now all we need is someone who can teach the Swans to kick at goal straight, and then we would be a premiership threat.

Yes. But I am sure even you would hope you are shown to be wrong. My (glass half full) approach is that this was on paper a good to very good year for trading. 2009 was however an excellent trading year; whilst 2007, when two Premiership players (Schnieder and Dempster) were traded for draft pick 26 was a fairly poor year.

You've got a 100% pessimistic post rate. Can only get better from here.

As I mentioned early this morning, Terry Wallace said he brought Morton over from the West to Richmond. In his opinion he would have been a top 8 National Draft Pick if it were not for his father/son selection.

He is a very good player and can be anything under the Swans wing.

We picked him up for nothing and it's all bonus from here no matter what happens.

Unless we recruit Fev, who then has a major relapse, falls back into his old drinking ways. Then gets Moreton and Armstrong to join him. They then get young Hanners drunk and get him covered in tatoos.................

                              We're doomed..............
