Ok. I am happy to bite. How terrific did we play? We won playing awful awful footy and just how many of our goals were scored from kicks to a mark on a lead ? How many actually involved a delivery to a forward rather than a consequence of pressure on the ball. Very happy we won but given just how dominant we were in the second quarter we didn't get reward for effort. Very unhappy with third quarter which was just a schemozzle. Last quarter was a get out of jail effort, and good on them for that. But can you see us threaten any of the majors on that effort ?

I missed Goodes getting reported for sliding in? How bad was it? I'm guessing because he has carry-over points, if it's bad he's a goner.

Best game Parker's played for us and loved those three goals by Jetta. Trying to wipe that 3rd quarter away from my memory. Terrible.

A lot of turnovers in the 3rd cosy us a bit, but great effort in the last quarter, the boys stood up well. I hope no one is bagging Reg's disposal taday, I didn't see any clangers at all, and I reckon his efficiency would have been one of the highest in the side. We will be sweating on the MRP this week, Goodes and his knees again, dangerous tackle by Jack????. Some of the boys must be getting toward some match fitness, Trddy was good again, Jets was very good when he was around the ball, even Jesse and Andrejs put in good efforts. We will have to do something about these 3rd q fades

I thought our disposal was, by and large, much better than the first two weeks. Lost some momentum in a frustrating and fumbly third term, but really we can't expect to have everything our own way for 100% of the match even if we're not making fumbly errors like those. We aren't hitting anything near our peak yet, so it's probably lucky the draw is a bit soft.

Jetta's progress is pleasing, he does plenty when he doesn't have the ball and his chasing and harassment is becoming a real asset.

I didn't see the Goodes report, but Jack will be fine.

Not on the evidence of those 4 quarters.... BUT there are snippets of games (a quarter there, 15 minutes here, another quarter there) in which we put together excellent passages of football. The challenge is to see the team start doing it for 4 quarters, week in week out. I think our best is actually very good indeed, but at the moment there are too many interjections of poor play in between. Give it time though - with our reasonable draw till the middle of the year, we can easily not play brilliantly but be well and truly set up to challenge for top 4, and wins breed confidence, and with confidence comes better performances, and hopefully improvements in our consistency. It will take time, and it will be frustrating along the way, but I truly believe there is something about this team, and I don't think we are too far away from becoming a very, very good team.

If jack gets done for that tackle, then we should just go and watch Netball - it was a good tackle and nothing in it in my opinion. I don't reckon there was much in Goodesy play either, but I wish he would stop doing that, it really isn't a good idea.

Jack's tackle was similar to the Folau report in the preseason. Nothing in it, think it's an auto-report from the "dangerous tackle" free.

Good last quarter but a little disappointed to concede 2 late goals.

Top last Q by Goodes and McVeigh. Others will disagree but I thought MCVeigh was good all game. Looked like he was on Cassisi who had little impact. And yes Reg was very good today and cool under pressure. Need Smith back to strengthen the backline.

Jetta is playing his role perfectly and gee Rohan looks close to a very good game. Only had to get a couple of lucky bounces and he was away.

It wasn't a spear tackle and it wasn't a body slam. He hit the ground sideways and his head didn't hit the ground. Did he even give away a free?

                      Dwayne Russell being dramatic again.

Josh Kennedy named BOG yet again.

We came home well. Maybe we should skip the third quarter from now on.

Good to see Hanna back in form. Parker was hot in the first half, Mummy came to life in the second half.

                        Three-nil is good.

                          Parker BOG,
                          Kennedy next,
                          Jack good,
                          Hannas good,

Reg got his disposal right great game. Teddy great, Everitt good as sub, Jets did his job. Benny ok till injured, Marty the usual, Birdie fell out of the game 2nd half.

Mummy was fantastic after a slow start

Goodsie did a bit in the last I think he over-thinks it at times when it really is a simple game. So Goodsie remember the KISS principle!

ROK was still a bit slow today he was better in the second half but his first was forgettable.

Jonno really has to do something about his head-space, he sometimes plays junior footy and Goodsie was guilty of that today too. Reid fumbled all the time up until the last, he couldn't hold them in the first three quarters.

Mal gets it a lot but in the third and early in the last his disposal was crap.

Maca did it in spurts today but ok.

White did a bit but is not a natural footballer and doesn't follow up enough. He still did some good things and put in at the marking contests.

Shaw got the run around a bit today, hard day out for him as he had to mind their best two small forwards at different times. Normally that is a job for Smithy.

We played how we can play in the last and we didn't just bomb it without a plan. We actually set play up and followed up. Goodsie came good when it counted, Macca the same. This third quarter fade out is a worry, we have been doing this for a few seasons now and it is as though when we get so far ahead we have a little rest. I think we play just well enough to win and that is all. We can't do that against Carlton, Hawthorn, Eagles or Geelong.

Regulation win. Hard to find a highlight or anyone who played 4 quarters. I suppose its good that we can't get much worse and we are still winning. Jettas torp onto the roof was a bit of fun.

On the Goodes report if you watch the slo-mo the Port player did exactly the same as Goodsy. He just got there earlier.

He was on a very good forward today and Port were ready to use him. In the end Teddy played quite well.
