Jetta did great! I'm glad to see him coming into his own, and being a champ on a regular basis. And our 3rd quarter nap wasn't as bad as usual. As for the commentators and umpires, well, I ought to be used to the bias, but really.

And here's hoping Goodesy gets to play next week.

Just saw Brian Taylor (is there any other commentator who knows less about what he is saying ) again try to say that " this has crept into Goodes game' Where does he get this rubbish ... AND IGNOR THAT BOTH PLAYERS CLASHED LEGS ! He spoke as if this is a weekly occurance and that Goodes had tackled head high with his knees !!

      Rubbish comments.

I know I can be a negative poster...but sheesh I'm a bit shocked at the VITRIOL during the game. I was very pleased overall. Looked like we were a proper team....and best of all sooooo much improvement possible. Bolton, Goodes, Jack, O'keefe and Reid ranged from very quiet to cameo. Fancy carrying those blokes! Malceski can dispose way better than that, Shaw can be much better too. So all in all maybe 8-9 of our 22 played their roles fully. Weirdly I see that as a positive (as long as we're winning).

Thought Parker was stiff not to get the medal. Big thumbs up.

Jesse is a useful footballer - but possibly he just has simple footy IQ lacking. Aprt from the fifty anf the dumb high frees - I reckon his defensive efforts look so poor because it takes him a split second longer than a normal player to REALISE that he needs to chase/tackle...by which time he has lost a metre or two and it's generally too late to do anything effective.

Good footy teams find a way to win, even when they're not playing that well. We're not playing that well, yet we find a way to win. Does that make us a good footy team?

Ask me again after 22 matches!

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

Just watched the replay and read through the thread. Emotion really does screw with the mind doesn't it. Some piss funny stuff.

Thought we were pretty good against a commited opponent. Lots of improvement needed most definitely but some very good signs.

I know thats my experience. Watched a bit again on fox and i felt the composure we showed was excellent.

Then at 3/4 time with a willing opponent fired up and charging to us we held off then scored a solid win

Still in Adelaide typing my thoughts. From live at the ground, I thought the Swannies pressure all day was outstanding! Port were forced into poor decision making and turnovers which we swooped on. Our tackling was fierce and effective. We knew Port would be hard and on all day so to come away with a 22 point win is very very satisfying! Goodsey has nothing to worry about! He'll get off!! Cheer cheer!

Does anyone else notice that when Dwayne Pipe calls Swans games, he regularly comments about missed frees for our opposition, yet when we are awarded a free, he says it was soft? He drives me insane.

I tried to mute the TV and listen to SEN for an alternative coverage but unfortunately the radio couldn't pick up a strong enough signal. I like to listen to ABC if they cover our games (but the delay between the sound and vision is disconcerting).

i thought it was a solid effort..Though our fitness does have me concerned..we seem to struggle at the back end of the games this year so far...but we seem committed, skills we need to work on, or get another skills coach...
I thought we did really well considering Reid was quiet, Goodes other thaqn the odd cameo really seems out of sorts at the moment, just cant my finger on it with him at the moment..

Have to say Jetta is having an outstanding year, parker gone to another level, Hannes slghtly off (was his pre-seaon interupted?), Marty Matt again he seems off the pace...would like to some yngr guys in there this week...
Harry, how is lamb coming along in the Ressies? and Mitchell when do we think he will make his debut

Why don't people on here do normal stuff when watching the game at home like I do like screaming at the TV and throwing stuff around the living room??? Then when you post on here you can do it in a calm, considered way......

Reading through this match day thread has reminded me that I havent missed RWO. Apart from the 3rd quarter, and the coach has got to address our 3rd quarter lapses, I thought we played quite well. Sure there were some errors and some turnovers when kicking long, but all teams are doing that. I'm always happy to win in Adelaide and thrilled to see us 3/3.

Bring on North and make it 4/4!
