That's what upsets me the most WHTG. Judd getting away with that shameful act and barely a whisper being heard about Franklin this week.

It's quite obvious some in the media have it in for Sydney and/or Goodes but I wish they'd keep it to themselves because it's unprofessional.

The whole system is messed up. Scarlett gets a month for essentially the same incident that for which Lake gets a week (HUGE PENALTY DIFFERENCE - SIMILAR REPORT HISTORY). Goodes actually mitigated injury with his body behavior during the contact with Jacob. I just think its messing with the game, there needs to be a level of understanding that this is a contact sport, and instinctive physical action is a part of the game.

Karmichael Hunt looked inspired for the first time in his career last weekend for the Suns and some of the hits he was putting on defensively for the Suns is actually made it a contest, do we want to send a message to him and other guys learning the game (i.e. GWS etc) to make sure you go softly when in doubt? The answer for mine is NO, but don't intentionally hurt people.... that is it...and match the review to that etiquette. If the etiquette is broken...throw the book at them!

Striking is a weird one. Hall got the book thrown at him amd rightly so, but both Scarlett and Lake threw left hooks flush on the jaw. The difference between Hall and their puches was they were facing their opponent. Lake got 2 weeks reduced to one for good behaviour. So you can snap someone to the cruet and be sure to only get a minimum one week. The inconsistency is frightening.

I think there is a bit of paranoia going on here. The media don't hate the swans, or any of our players, especially Goodes. I suspect they just think he is guilty of making silly repeated judgement errors (similar to his bumps a while ago). I suspect longmire would likely agree, it hurts the team.

I don't think that goodsey deserved a week but there is not a sinister media conspiracy.

I agree..the media and vic fans don't hate us, they just don't understand us. Also this has stirred up some passion amongst fans which is exactly what these experts in ze media are paid to do.

It was the accumulation of offenses that tipped it over the week - the panel would have considered it in this context, plus I'm sure they'd be very hesitant to turn over the lower body unless compelling.
