    Galbally representing Goodes.
"Galbally says both players started sliding together and that if the ball had have continued in its same trajectory that Goodes would have got there first and Surjan's actions would have been scrutinised".

Matter being heard now live on afl.com.au

"Tribunal is told Goodes got kicked in the shin by Surjan in the action. Says one view of the incident looks damning, but a wider view from the vision suggests an equal approach to the contest".

I'm sure Surjan will explain that when his case comes up.... Oh wait!!

                  Here are the facts:
                  - Both players slid in to claim the ball (look at his eyes)
                  - By the MRP's anal standards, what Goodes did was negligent
                  - Therefore if Goodes is negligent in his body positioning, so is Surjan
                  - However did anyone penalise Surjan? No - the point of the game is to win possession of the ball
                  - THEN WHY THE @@@@ IS GOODES GETTING CHARGED?!

I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Seems fair!! That's the method the MRP uses to come up with its findings.

"Gleeson tells the Tribunal that Goodes charged in and knew there would be a contest. He says it raises the question of a player's duty of care." WHAT THE @@@@?! Is he saying they should eliminate all contests in the game from now on!? @@@@ing wanker. And who's duty of care? Sliding in head first would be reckless!

It's bloody laughable what these wankers want to do to our game. It's a body contact sport morons. You know, body contact is probably likely to happen.

AFL Rep "Sliding in has a range of potential consequences, and it's the act of sliding into a contest that is the breach of his duty of care, says Gleeson".

New afl rule - No sliding by any player near another player !
Galbally "He says Goodes is not sliding to a contest, he's sliding to the ball. Goodes' belief was that if the ball hadn't deviated, he would have got to it and Surjan would have created the contest".
