Great effort. Great resolve across the team. Some random thoughts:
. Armstrong looked slow and out of form. Sorry, not yet ready for a Hawthorn
. The much-maligned Everitt, and I am one of his major critics, today played his best game ever
. White, as noted earlier, played like a guy that really wants an AFL career: welcome home Jesse
. Spangher, when he returns (God, I hope next week) will add some real depth to the forward zone
. Parker is playing way above his division - trust he doesn't fall away as the season progresses
. Jetta is a delight to watch. I'm thinking Eddie Betts in time
    ....great effort across the team.

Stopping that sort of thing happening is exactly why Goodes got suspended. I'm sure it was unintentional but that's not the point.

It was a bad weekend for AFL injuries. Some horrific ones in there. Rohan's definitely going to have a long road back so sending him well-wishes.

I was sitting near Armstrong's cheer squad - they were ecstatic when he kicked his goal.

And Jetta is seriously a freak. His goal-kicking at the moment is unbelievable.

I also agree with those who have said that it was probably the best game Everitt has played of AFL footy. Apart from the goals he kicked he set a few up and tackled very well.

No sign of second season syndrome with Luke Parker.... onwards and upwards is the only way he is going! Armstrong was very nervous today... he is not quite ready for seniors yet I don't think overall, but given time he will develop into a handy player for us.

We'd have a harder time covering the loss of Parker or Kennedy tha nwe did losing Goodes for a game. Nothing against Adam, I love him, just a fact

I can't watch and I never will. I still can't get the horrific vision of Nathan Brown breaking his leg out of my head so I turn away whenever they replay these types of things.

As for the MRP I wouldn't hold my breathe for them to make a decision that makes sense.

Great win considering the players we were missing, and loosing Rohan so early.
                    A really even performance.
The much maligned all went extremely well....
White had his best 4 quarter performance for the Swans.
Ditto for Everitt, his chasing and tackling, for 4 quarters, was fantastic.
                    Ditto for Jetta
Malceski is back to his best.
                    McVeigh ditto
Shaw did a number on Harvey
Bird did a number on Wells
ROK was patchy but did some good things, and looks to be slowly regaining some form.
The challenge is for them all to reproduce next week and beyond.

Don't know if anyone has mentioned it yet? That giant red and white banner that some people draped over the fence up in the brewongle stand!? Nice work!

How good was Shaw's shutdown of Harvey??
It's hard to keep a good player down and he did kick a brilliant goal, but he had little or no impact on the game. 14 touches.

Had a great vantage point in the Brewrongle yesterday. Terrific game, really enjoyed it although as others said, tempered by Rohan's horror injury. It was pretty subdued for a while after that, but the crowd found voice again. Best wishes to the young bloke.

One of those games where the whole team puts in a 4-quarter effort and we look as good as anyone. Everitt: looked like a completely different player, I hope he's finally come good. McGlynn on fire for much of the game (did someone wind him up?) Jetta: we may have a genuine, crowd-pulling superstar on our hands, terrific for the club and the game. Seaby: the most I've seen from him, a good game. Doesn't play the game time of Mumford but they rotated him and White very well. Kennedy: what more can you say, he's everywhere, all the time. Reid was a bit quiet and heavily tagged, but never dropped his head. I hope he's handling the pressure OK.

Both teams were absolutely buggered by the end. Funny moment near the end when Teddy took a screaming diving mark, then a really tired looping handball didn't make the distance to McVeigh. Teddy starting laughing, McVeigh just stared at him with hands outstretched in a "what the **** was that!" gesture. Fortunately it wasn't critical by that stage.

4-0 and bring on the Hawks.

He did a brilliant job no question. He nearly got into my top 3 in the all important TLM because if the job he did on Harvey.

Outstanding 4 quarter performance yesterday. I have to say that the sub rule worked in our favour too. The slight disadvantage of no fresh legs in the 4th quarter was vastly outweighted by both teams being on 3 interchanges for the first 3. As long as you don't get a second injury ythe rule works. Get well soon Gaz!

Lots of great performances yesterday but I thought Malceski and McVeigh both showed much stronger form too.

That's the problem with this rule. We were really lucky that there were no other injuries yesterday.
IMO they should have 3 interchange and 2 subs. Then at least a team that gets 2 injuries (which happens fairly regularly) wont be disadvantaged.
It would also make for interesting tactical moves as to who and when to activate subs.
