    Poor Gary Rohan . . . . . and poor Horse.
I thought he'd pulled off a masterstroke with Gary at full forward, he certainly looked like he was going to be way too quick for Thompson. Then tradgedy.

On a brighter video note: Jetta's goals are at YouTube. "3 for the afternoon, all of them gems."

I actually had that conversation on the way home. Given the injury and what no doubt will be a looong recovery process and then some more to get enough fitness in to the body to compete as a midfielder, the 3 minute cameo at FF may have been a glimpse to the future.

He ticks all the boxes to be a great FF. Strong mark, both on the lead and in contested situations, he plays pretty tall and his goalkicking is beautiful.

Who knows, in 3 years time we could have a double pronged forward line of Reid and Rohan.

        Delicious...

I'm afraid I'm still not convinced about the value of 'Dre.

While we desperately need that 3rd tall target to distract the opposition from young Sam. I don't think 'Dre is a viable 3rd tall target up forward.

I'm glad he got on the scoreboard but despite the goals, not much has changed.

Even yesterday he was still unable to make an effective contest at the fall of the ball. Sure he has an enormous kick, but that's not new, remember that link to a kickout in the reserves someone posted? His disposal is still suspect, his first two efforts this week were miskicks. I was very please to see a significant improvement in his tackling, although perhaps his chasing could still be improved, as someone suggested last week he still seems to be growing into his body, and perhaps that's the case, but atm he's still lumbering his way around the ground.

I thought that was his best game yet. Hopefully his 50th will be remembered as his breakout game.

Agree. His attack on the ball, or player with the ball just seems to lack effort/intensity.
              B+ Must try harder.

Sorry I can't agree at all. He was good yesterday and credit has to be given for that performance.

Not sure it shows on TV but at the ground he was chasing and tackling as hard as anyone out there.

                  Poor, poor little Ranga.
My heart is as broken as his leg.

Other than that tragedy ... what a fantastic game.
I'm always very pleased when we beat the boo-a-roos.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

He is an unbeleivable kick, if he can improve the other areas he'll take his oppurtunities in front of goal. Imagine if Sam could kick like that /

We did see him tackle on the TV, but when the ball hit the ground he just looks slow.

Everitts intensity in getting to the contest is very inconsistent. I noticed early in game he was slow as a wet week. He seems to start at the intensity of a ressies match and then flicks on a switch. I hope that this is just him becoming used to the speed of senior footy and what's required.
Everyone was going so mad on him in the first qtr. He does then seem to get down and get with it.
I thought that was one of his best games. He is definitely a confidence player so will have been a big shot in the arm.

                            Agree with this post

It was his best game for the club and there were some positives but he is the worst contested mark for a bloke his size I have ever seen. He is unable to even put in a decent contest in the air and unless he improves on this (and his overall intensity) he is just going to keep being a tease

I thought his defensive work was just as important as his goals. I've never seen him show that much intensity. AT least one tackle led directly to a goal.

Apart from Rohan's Injury (which was just heartbreaking ) the game as a whole I loved it. It's a win so let's rejoice in that. Everyone played a part so now bring on Hawthorn!!!!!
