Hmmm. I am no sure about that! I agree with the first part of your sentence but what you actually do with the ball under pressure is pretty telling. Little dinky kicks up into the air that are easily picked off, pinpointing opposition players on our forward line, kicks along the boundary that go out on the full, handballs to the team mate standing beside you or out to the opposition ........ I would hate to see the ratio of effective disposals on Sat. compared with ineffective. It is amazing that the final scores were so close. If the last three points we kicked had been goals we could have nearly won!!!!

Of the margin? I only saw it on TV, so almost impossible to make assured opinions, but 5 goals seemed about right. We had them easily covered in the first, we lost our way in the second, not helped by some horrendous umpiring decisions, we were even worse in the third and junked it up a bit late in the last.
Saints aren't that good and to be even 5 goals worse then them is disappointing. OK?Driver of the Dan Hannebery bandwagon....all aboard. 4th April 09Comment

You should just copy and paste the same post over and over again "the coaches know best, supporters know nothing blah blah blah"
Instead of some generalised sweeping criticism of what I posted, whey don't you respond to the points that you actually disagree with
I don't even know why you bother posting on this forum because by your own logic if you're not John Longmire your opinion is worthless and you know nothing about football
If you disagree with a post have the decency to be at least gentlemanly about it, say so and move on no personal attacks. Do you find it necessary to demean others? If so then you are a bully and need to be treated like a bully and ignored!Comment

I watched the game live (ie at Ethihad) and while I think I was aware Pyke wasn't dominating, I didn't have him down as one of the major reasons for our ineptitude. I hope they stick with him for a while - certainly until Mumford is back - and give him a chance to get up to the speed of the game. He's been a fair time out and is still learning, and I don't think he was any worse than Seaby against Richmond.
I also thought he was responsible for one of the few pieces of Swans' play that had me cheering - a ruck contest tap out wide onto the chest of Jack, who duly kicked it through for a goal.My opinion is objective truth in its purest formComment

Maybe the Swans are waiting for a good price. Seen the AFL priemiership betting in Herald Sun newspaper today. The roughest priced was Brisbane at 1001 to 1 with four teams not mentioned. i.e GWS, Melbourne, Gold Coast and Sydney. So Our odds must be greater than a 1001 to one!!! Ok guys you now have a good price. Time to stay playing fair dinkum!!!! Look out West Coast, Essendon and coliingwood! [Mod Edit: sentence removed]Comment

Disagree with the sentiment that 'Not a good time to select Morton' I think he could come in now. LRT to the backline, retain Tommy as forward/second ruck, Shaw, AJ (injured), Mal out. In Morton, Mitchell and Nipper. Let's do something novel attack, really attack! The best sides at the moment have a very attacking strategy and that is why our and the Hawks game plan is being killed. We are too slow to move the ball. Mitch moves the ball rapidly, this would also suit Parker, Joey and the other young guns. They were taught a totally different brand of footy to the out of date Horse Game Plan. Horse needs to have a long think about what is going wrong! I think all the supporters can see it why can't he?Comment

(b) I have not demeaned anyone. I don't know one person on this site personally. To say a person "snipes" at the club is a comment on the use of this site, not the individual.
(c) I have NEVER posted anything on Big Footy. In fact I have visited the site on about four occasions in my life.
(d) There are people on this site whose opinions I value and who are measured, logical and informed in their comments. Good examples are Liz and Old Royboy
(e) This is a FAN site as you say, but too many people on here do not act like fans of the Swans, their constant carping is not consistent with supporting a club. Those who have the greatest power to hurt us are those we love.Comment

DT points are a reasonable indicator of how a player goes in the team. Pyke was 5th on that list for the Swans. There were a few marks that didn't stick, but I am hoping on Mumfords return Pyke nails down that 2nd ruck/forward spot and gives the Swans a formidable ruck brigade.
I mean 14 touches FFS!The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.Comment
