You should see me play out of the goal square. Lethal with both left feet and those 5 touch marks are the thing of legend. Mind you in my contract it stipulates a 10min rest after every lead, oxygen tent at the interchange benches and my very own personal Powerade dispenser.

Reading behind the lines, I don't think Longmire was impressed.
Yep.

I don't agree with you about the Resies boys. Jesse had a great game Saturday as did Lambchop, Morton, Spang was pretty good and Walsh did ok. Nipper Gordon was pretty good considering he hasn't had a full game in a couple of weeks. Alex Brown & Campbell Heath were both very good. Heath is looking more like Teddy every day, he looks like him and plays like him. Jack Lynch is fast becoming a very good defender. Dyl did ok but I am a bit sus about Brett Meredith, he is frustrating, he does some really great things then just goes out of the game. He seems to get lost in the play at times. He totally ran past both player and ball at one stage and instead of going back in he just stoppedComment

What are you talking about? I play every week! (In my mind at least).
In fact, I kind of blame myself for the Collingwood loss as my preparation was not up to scratch. I was not on this site as much as I should have been and only checked the Swan's website once or twice a day instead of the usual 3-4 times. Worst of all, I was out late instead of watching the game live.
Sorry everyone.Comment

I'm obviously not in any great position to disagree, however the Swans had a decent number of breaks straight out of the d50 last night and into the f50 without a great deal of trouble from the pies, however the failure to mark or convert from the fall inside 50 was a bigger problem.Comment

Collingwood has very clean hands and play very well in the wet. When the rain came from time to time they hardly fumbled. We were ok in this area but they were better and got critical breaks during rain periods.Comment

I am picking up a bit of Anna Meares/Victoria Pendleton in this Swans/Collingwood rivalry. One side has dominated their encounters over the last few years and seemingly has the psychological (and physical) edge, but the other side still has the game plan to win, IF they can execute it properly. It may be drawing rather a long bow, but I think we have always had the game to beat them, but they just kept bringing their A-game whenever they played us and were just incredibly effective in shutting us down. After Saturday night it's clear that we have improved (whether predictable or not!) and are capable of matching them. How satisfying would it be to knock them off at the MCG on the last Saturday in September. They will take some beating, though.Comment

This mans the biggest attention seeker in the media. He should nick off to KFC already because he looks exactly like colonel sanders the parasite malthouse! Ill be letting him know on 3AW on sunday just what i think of his comments aswell. How have we had an easy draw mick the @@@@@? he loves to rub the boots into interstate sides. Doesnt he realise we lost to the collingscum by 8 points due to 16 behinds scored by us? obviously as his age has worn on his lost his eyesight but i didnt realise all of it was lost!!!

+1.
We've lost to the PIes by a kick two games in a row. THat doesn't sound as though our game style is fatally flawed. Yesterday it was about not taking our chances.
In fact, when it comes to being predictable, it's actually Malthouse who refused to change. He made the same points at the start of the year and has had it quoted back at him a few times in recent weeks. We can read this as grumpy ex-coach trying to defend his original prediction that the Swans would go nowhere this year. You can't argue with a sick mind - Joe WalshComment

Malthouse is just another media person with an opinion which he's entitled to have. Like anything the media come up with it won't bother the Swans at all. They know what they need to do to improve and they're happy that they have a game plan that, when executed well, wins games of football. An outsiders opinion won't change that...And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style.
