And to beat the Cats anywhere when they get their tails up you have to play well, let alone at Skilled Stadium. They played pretty well, we had a few blokes down on intensity and the outcome is not a surprise.

We can beat the Crows next week but will need the whole team to play well. It is hard to pick how the Grundy incident will go - it is certainly possible it will be deemed to be insufficient force. But if he is outed, the obvious restructure is to move LRT back. Smith and Reid back into the team (hopefully), Walsh out (he did OK but not in our best 22 at the moment), Parker to play a full game, Armstrong to stay and maybe Eski as sub?
    Yeah, I agree with this.

Though I wouldn't mind seeing Everitt back in as sub.

I'm not a huge fan of his but he plays well as sub, has versatility and a big kick.

I'd add Armstrong to that list. It's gotten to the point where I'm surprised when someone hits a target on the lead.

I don't know what's happening with Malcheski. He used to be quite reliable.
The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.

I agree on Everitt as a sub. He can come on and provide a bit of a spark, especially on a ground like AAMI Stadium.

Well now it's finals it's like starting a new season - the intensity will lift and anything can happen. It's an exciting time and as usual our Swans have put us through the emotional wringer - I have a feeling the more people write us off the more determined we will become. Let's get behind our boys to do what they did in '05 - the road to the GF was a rocky one back then and it was one hell of a ride. I'm sure that in 2012 and the opportunity arises again - none of us would miss the emotional yo yo for quids. Go Swans, do it for us, do it for Sydney , do it for the Swans proud heritage, do it for yourselves.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

              In: Smith, Reid
Out: Grundy (suspended) Walsh (has had a taste)

Taylor Walker is 100KG & Grundy would have been the ideal match-up. He almost surely will serve time for that forearm jab on Podsiadly. So who to move back? LRT of course

You're brave predicting the course of the MRP. I see Chris Scott is confident Chappy won't get time for whacking McGlynn.

Smith and Reid would be pretty good ins though.
For sub, I guess a tossup between Armstrong and Parker.

Be very suprised if Grundy gets rubbed out. So
                  In: smith Reid
                  out: Walsh malcescki

Grundy will get off with an early plea...Low impact, clean record...no problem.

Problem for Grundy is, his form has tapered off. He needs to lift.

I think we need Jetta, Malceski is more at risk I think.
By the way, I really like your Heywood Broun quote, been meaning to say so for a while.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Armstrong seemed to find a little more room than the other small defenders too. Should be handy this Saturday given all Adelaide's small forwards.

I agree. Armstrong's ability to hit a target was such a pleasant surprise - it was almost a feeling of relief as you were watching, to know that when he had the ball and kicked it forward it was going to land on a Swan's chest!

I didnt see a lot of this game, except last half, but are those trumpeting Armstrongs game saying he should stay in the side as small defender in a final ?
And if so, who get relegated to the sub/dropped. Is it out of malceski or Matner ?
