    Changes for Adelaide

Our injury list may be worse than we think. This morning, one of the coaching staff half jokingly asked if I could take my boots on Saturday-said we may have some problems...

As if they are going to tell everyone who is really injured.

Nothing like a good light bulb moment.

Mike Pyke has chosen the wrong time of the year to make all of his mistakes. Last weekend was a nightmare for him and us. He must lift or its "see ya" IMO.

I think you're spot on here.

While watching the Geelong game I kept thinking "it's OK defending all the time, but where's our attack - where are the goals going to come from?"

We've got to play attacking football. Adelaide's defence has conceded 34 more goals than us over the course of the season. Hitting them with some hard run is the way to go. Put LRT down back to cover Grundy's absence, and use our best available FULLY FIT forwards.

Everitt's currently listed as "test" with an Achilles injury... might not see him this week.

He's been ruled out according to Matt Cameron. Didn't play the 4th quarter of the reserves game.

Candidates for demotion(to sub) or the chop:
                    Grundy-out
                    Walsh-almost a certain out
                    Armstrong-only fair
                    Parker-out of form
                    Jetta-sub may suit him atm.

                    Candidates for in:
                    Reid-certain
                    Smiff-certain
                    Morton
                    Spangher
                    TDL
                    White

Personally I like White atm after watching his game in the 2s last weekend.
Parker has not recovered properly after his surgery.
Armstrong does not have the bmi or leg speed for finals football imho.
Spangher is well suited to replacing LRT and seems fit atm.
With Parker not firing Morton gives us additional midifeld power if Parker is dropped.

                    Based on the above:
                    Reid for Walsh
                    Smith for Armstrong
                    Morton for Parker
                    Spangher or White for Grundy
                    Jetta to sub
We have them where we want them, everything is going according to plan!

Parker is not out of form. He was the sub and had 9 possessions in the short time he was on. Not out of the question that he plays up forward. I expect there to be a suprise positional move to get the Crows thinking at the start of the game.

                        Jetta to sub
Longmire and Goodes were on 360 tonight. JL said LRT will play back to cover Grundy. Jetta is fired up for the game and expects him to relish the bigger ground. He gave little else away. Also said would not bring anyone in from the 2's to cover Grundy.

For mine; Reid and Smith in and possibly Morton. Out Walsh, Grundy and perhaps one other. I still reckon throw Armstrong into the forward line. TDL is injured as I understand and they wont risk Everitt if he has an "achilles". The sub...anyone's guess. Maybe Malceski.

LRT will go to defence to replace Grundy.

That means we need to replace a tall forward, which could be White or go a smaller option in Morton.

The other are certain with Smith replacing Armstrong and Reid coming back for Walsh.

I would be inclined to go a smaller option with Morton and try and open up the space back into the forward 50 for Goodes, Jetta, McGlynn, Morton and our midfield to exploit while leaving Reid to play one out deep.

Swans make as few changes as possible.

                              LRT for Grundy
                              Walsh for LRT
                              Reid for Walsh
Smith for some unlucky punter - probably Armstrong undeservedly.

                              Thats In: Smith, Reid
                              Out: Grundy, Armstrong
The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.

If memory serves last year Jetta was a rare bright sport in that dire Crows loss at AAMI and was one of our best against Port this year. Needs to play a full game and have a license to roam.
