Originally it was quoted that the so called agreement that Tippett had with Adelaide is that he would be allowed to go for the club of his choice for a second round draft pick. Maybe the swans have stuck to that knowing that there is a background trade practices or breach of contract threat sitting out there that if Adelaide renege on that agreement , Tippett may have the ability to challenge it. It would then make sense that Noble says they are holding out for the first round pick.

Given that Noble has been such a knob, I'd be quite keen for this scenario to unfold. Pick 40++ and not a pick less

I just love the class of the Swans throughout this. Very little to say but what they have said has always indicated they are quietly getting on with business. No "tell 'em they're dreamin'" on giving up a premiership player, just that we would prefer not to include them in any trade deals. No "we'll just take him in the PSD then" comments. Love it.

The deal will get done, Swans will come through looking like consummate professionals that they are, and almost everyone at the Adelaide end will look a bit silly/hysterical/petty - not to mention all the so-called journos who've been beating their chests about it.

He's another one I was rather surprised to see hadn't yet requested a trade. He is a great pickup for someone, aaa laa Joey Kennedy scenario. If we cannot fit him in to the top 22 (yeah I know, but....really,who would you drop instead?), so he could become better elsewhere.

Of all the sides in the AFL, I would have thought St Kilda would be the last club that would be looking at TDL. They have enough of the small-medium forward types in Schneider, Milne, Milera, Saad and Siposs.

I have found SNF to be a pretty reliable source. They usually pick up stories from other media agencies but filter out the bull@@@@, hear-say and downright speculation. Would not be surprised if there is truth to the "TDL wants out" angle.

P.S. SNF is a good account to follow if your are in the twitterati. It aggregates and curates a good feed of all sports.

I agree. I thought White the more likely to go to the Saints as they are looking for a ruckman. I do hope TDL can find more opportunities elsewhere as he will find ever more problems breaking into our side next year.

News that GWS just traded for PA's pick 29. I wonder if they would be interested in TDL for that pick.

Probably get something decent for TDL from Saints (Rd 2 pick) and then trade that and first round pick to Crows.

I think we should let Tippett walk into the draft. That will help those dumb Crows with their list problem.
