From a pies flog: "Sydney don't concern me with or without Tippett. I'm more concerned by the eagles, freo and hawthorn". HA!LRT. Lord Roberts-Thompson. He may look like the Munster, but looks can be deceiving.

This one tickled my fancy...
"Kurt Tippett $800,000 dollars, Tom Scully $1,000,000, watching Mitch Morten win a Premiership before either of them - Priceless!"Driver of the Dan Hannebery bandwagon....all aboard. 4th April 09Comment

I think I have a reasonable handle on trades etc but I don't really understand this "And Adelaide says it will seek out a third party to beef up Sydney's offer that currently is seen to stand at draft pick No.23 and out-of-favour forward Jesse White."
How can Adelaide seek out a third party to beef up Sydney's offer??? Convince them to take White for a first rounder which Sydney will trade to them? Also the idea that a first round offer may suddenly appear late on Friday - To go to Sydney then to them. To trump the Sydney offer and hope Tippett will grab a new club if confronted by the PSD? He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)Comment

It's all bluster TBC so when the inevitable happens on Friday and they trade him to us for Pick 23 (and quite possibly only 23 if they decide Jesse is superfluous to needs), they can deflect the blame that their hands were tied, no other clubs would come to the party, Sydney had no more to give, we had to make the decision to get a pick or get nothing blah blah blah.Latest from the Adelaide Addy. - http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/sport/...-1226500277446

Sydney are not waiting to get this deal done so they can move on other deals. It would not surprise to find the deal is done and Sydney are happy for Adelaide to announce it whenever it suits them to save some face with the lynch mob gathering outside AAMI.Driver of the Dan Hannebery bandwagon....all aboard. 4th April 09Comment
