If my memory serves me right, Shannon Grant's mother was offered a job in the Swan's marketing Dept when Grant was drafted. I lived in Sydney at the time and was actually quite close to people in the playing squad and in the marketing dept. Shannon's mum became very popular within the club and she was a hard worker and loved the role. So much so that she chose to stay on with the Swans after Shannon's departure to Melbourne to play for the Kangaroos. She was actually trying to convince Shannon to stay in Sydney but he had his mind made up and the Kangaroos were into him well before his contact end. It wasnt long after Shannon left that his mum chose to follow him back to Melb. ...taking with her a partner she met in Sydney. A great lady by the way who loves her footy and her son.

I bet the AFL (and the Fat Controller in particular) are having nightmares about a Tippett court case on restraint of trade. They would dream of stringing the idiots at AFC up by their toes.

Demetriou is probably also having a few nightmares about the Tankers as well, given how strongly he dimissed any suggestion that tanking even happened. My prediction is that the AFL cant hide the evidence they find, but AD will then re-define what 'Tanking' is to let the Dees off and save face for himself.
