That's certainly a good point, he'd have no problems as long as he didn't have to throw Jesse over his shoulder and carry him out.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

I've not forgotten how rusty Swans were in the NAB cup and early rounds of the season proper. Tippett is playing catch-up and is doing alright, I say. Alas, he'll have to get use to away game jeering every time he touches the ball, how petty are some folks? If I were Kurt I'd set up a "Who wants to boo a millionaire?" SMS line for the stupid and angry to send Tippo a text message at a buck a pop. Would make a motza.

No need to starve to death. With such appalling set shots for goal, I'd think our coaches would be telling our crumbers to hang around Kurt after he takes a mark. Let someone whose hands and feet aren't in different post codes take the kicks.

I didn't hear any booing at the Dees game. Though I was at our end.

Don't understand why Kurt Tippett is being singled out for bad kicking, the whole team was pretty poor on the weekend. Watching the replay it seemed like they were all allowing for a wind direction that wasn't there. They tended to miss to the same side every time. Even a lot of kicks into the forward line ended up missing to the same side. Flags were flying one way, the ball was flying the other.

Had a Swans supporter near me who only commented when Tippett went near the ball, usually in the negative. I think too many people are expecting him to win every game off his own bat. So unrealistic. He has only played three games since September last year, get a grip everyone...... and enjoy the ride. I'm loving it!

That's right, he's essentially playing his nab cup now, by the time finals come around he should have had time to find some excellent form. His form so far has been pretty bloody good!

My thoughts also. Have a look at Buddys kicking sometimes - it's on a wing and a prayer also but you don't hear too many Hawks fans complaining.
I have been a Tippett fan since his early days at The Crows and his kicking has always been hit and miss but to have a giant taking marks, tackling and generally just harassing defenders in our forward 50 is something we haven't had for a long time. I think the coaches and other players would be more then happy with how he is going so far.

I heard a few comments towards him, a couple of boos once, that was about it.
It was so soft I don't think he would have heard it.

Not at Jobe Watson levels but it was there. It should peter out in time, except in Adelaide against the Crows. Let him feast on their tears!

                          +1.

                          - We scored 16.20 and squandered lots of gettable ones across the team.
                          - KT earned 6 shots on goal plus brought the ball to ground for some others e.g. B Jacks' roving goal.
                          - Yes, would be nice if he managed 6 goals instead of 2.4, but if he averages 2 goals every game plus presents the big body target - as he has done so far - he has done his job IMO.

He has a long history of poor shooting for goal, and it appears that three months of target practice hasn't improved it.
The thrust of my post self evidently isn't about belittling our new forward, it's a suggestion that his new team-mates (especially those that kick straight) should consider offering themselves for the offload.

I agree with all of this I too loved him when at Adelaide and always wished he was a swan and now he is thank goodness

Baz had just as much time off to practice between bouts and didn't get better. Then there's Buddy. Big men can't kick? But then there's Plugger . . .
