We knew what we were getting with Kurt's kicking (Adelaide fans told us many, many times), but if he is 'playing his role' then we are lucky to have him. Not all forwards are good kicks, i.e. Sammy is suspect at times, and Matthew Richardson missed more than he kicked (happy to be proven wrong with this)

I'm really expecting so much more for $70K per game. Two goals a games isn't really cutting it.

As I've said before I'm an unabashed fan and have been since way before he joined us, but even those who have not been fans or are slow at being converted must be thanking the lord that we have him in our team with the injuries we have at the moment.

So instead of a new thread like 'Tippett's kicking action' or 'Tippo on the weekend', we just use this one? So, this thread will be added to until the day Tippett retires from football? Tippett did ok given he only got paid $5K for each of the two wet weather games. For the GWS game he'll get paid $200K. Even so, given dry weather time against GWS, I don't think we'll be disappointed with Tippett?s value for money.

Given White's improvement & current form ... & the possibility it might be difficult to squeeze any more height into the side ... & that (apart from the Tigers game) Pyke has been in great form as a ruckman, forward & tall around the ground ... is there any chance that when Goodsey or Sammy are ready to return, that Tippett might be required to make way for either of them?

I think with Reid's fitness base and output this year when fit. I think he will be further down the pecking order than Tippet if when/if he is to return this season.

If Reid comes in, it will be at Andre Everitt's expense. If White holds his form, I'd say Reid will come back as a defender/swingman like LRT was, and his brother is at collingwood.

Anyone who thinks White would have kicked 4 yesterday without Tippett in the team has rocks in their head. I'm delighted with the way KT is going and I'm sure the coaching staff are too. 2-3 goals per game with our structure and game style is exactly what they would want. Let's not forget that he has missed several that he should have kicked that could have given him a bag or two.

I agree with this. Tippett is having exactly the same effect on Jesse's role that we hoped he would have on Sam's. Add to that his goals and the odd bit of rucking and his general highly engaged play and we have ourselves a winner.
