Seeing its really really quiet around here atm lets see if we can get the Tippett thread to 4000 posts. Has anyone seen him on the track yet? How do you think Tip and Bud will work together?

He may also feel he undersold himself.
I am really looking forward to these two lurking around in attack next season (amongst other attractions). Look out if we can get a bit of luck with injuries (or lack there-of).Comment

Some of these posts are tarnishing the integrity of the post count. It's beginning to look like a Nicaraguan election.
So I'm going to raise a couple of legit Tippett related issues to keep things kosher:
1. Has every been resolved the exact details of Tippett's contract? I thought there was some dispute over whether it was for 2 years or 4. Even the amounts were in some question.
2. If Nankervis and Aliir both have good years, perhaps we could trade Trippett after next season to take the pressure off the salary cap once the big numbers kick in for Buddy. Looking to a future ruck/forward combo of Toby and Aliir.Comment

After so much effort to get the guy, & given a pretty reasonable return in the games he played last season, it seems a little rediculous to release him in his playing "prime". If you were going to cut someone to ease the cap pressure it'd be Buddy - & that's equally rediculous. Why not trust that the recruiters have a master plan on developing the most intimidating forward line that the VFL/AFL possibly ever seen ... one that could possibly withstand generational change as current stars (Goodes, Buddy & then Kurt) pass by & new ones (Sammy then Nankervis) emerge.
Well, GW$'s stockpiling of monster forwards might rival us within a decade, but they will find equally difficult to keep such talent within their cap.
Banking on an untried future of Toby & Aliir vs a couple of relatively proven handy forwards of Buddy & Kurt?Comment
