Well done Swans, clear thinking all the way. Transparent deal, no cake shops.
He'll need the dosh to buy a pad in Sydney near the SCG.
Welcome to The country's most expensive city, but it's a great place.

To think the Crows had the chance to do a deal and let it all go away but they had to put a spanner in the works. They ended up the worst for wear out of all this. They got no money or players for him. they got fined and lost three of their admin & footy staff to suspension and they also got fined which the club will probably pick up too. I don't understand why they didn't bite the bullet and do the deal? But I do know, because they just wanted to go down the Adelaide track of conspiracy and bitchiness. Look at Lindy Chamberlain, there are still folk in the 'City of Churches' who believe she is guilty, Adelaide has always loved a good conspiracy.

          Re: Tippett!!

Why does his per game wage matter next year? we're front loading his contract to give us breathing room in 2014, right? completely sensible.
it's not as if the money would've been spent on something else

I dare say there are a hell of a lot of people outside the 'City of Churches' who still think she is guilty...

It's been reported that a woman was running through the streets of Adelaide screaming: "A Tippo ate my baby!"

They never really had a chance of doing a deal with Tippett. That's why they're so furious. They carved out an $800k space for him in 2013 and he still said no.

Yep and still smashed us and we were premiers all that. No room for complacency as one slip and the season can be over before hubris has time to set in. Tippett is just one more step in a neverending process of continuous improvement.

Especially Naismith; we were calling for them to pick him up way back weren't we. I know I and some others were rather taken with seeing him in the breaks taking instruction from The Whisperer, and a) being amused at the extreme height disparity, and b) seeing him go out and try out the learned ones instructions. I am fairly sure we called him a quick study.

oh this is going to be a fun time.
