Perhaps an amateur boxing style thing when playing GWS?

How freakin' intimidating would that be?
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Here's a summary of Tippett's career stats. Numbers are averages: for games that's "per year", everything else "per game".

                  tippett.png

And here's a key to abbreviations (not all present on the chart):

                  key.png

The best players show sustained periods where their key stats improve year on year and are always around or above career average (black line).

To me, this indicates his transition since coming to Sydney from "mostly forward" through "mostly ruck-forward" and latterly "more ruck than forward". I think he's effective but is it really what they should be paying him for, given our more than serviceable ruck stocks? I hope they can get him working forward again next year, but I'm not sold on him and Buddy working well together forward.

He really didn't get a chance to be right up for the speed at which the grand final was played.
But remember Meg that his head never made contact with the ground. That decision still irritates me...how stupid do they think we are? [emoji35]

Are we allowed to restructure his contract? Add a third year making it a $2.4 million over three rather than $2 million over two years.

So apparently Tippo said after the game that he was happy to be heading off on holidays and some Swans called him out and said he hadn't deserved a holiday after his GF performance.
After that it got a bit pushy.

Who was calling him out ? One of the captains who missed two set shots pretty much in front .
Where did that run up come from ?

So, if you're not going to cite where this little anecdote comes from, it's just as much rubbish as the unsubstantiated articles that have been thrown around thus far. Such stuff should be left off the boards IMO. We get enough rubbish news in the media as it is.
