3yrs 1.5-1.7M smoothed out the reported 800K hit next year
Give him an extra 2 yrs and us a solid ruck for that price

Think he plays this week, Sinclair given all the opportunities but not taking them.
I have bagged him heaps at 800+K but around 5-6 with the pay rise sits more than comfortably

Tippo now is an average player at best. He is neither a ruckman or forward of any merit. Why on earth would you be comfortable paying him 5-600 large? He genuinely is not worth it.

5-6 is the new 4-5 which is peanuts for a ruck that can play if he gets his @@@@@ together

this is all based on what that new figure is, im more than comfortable to lay the boots back in if the figure is above 600K

If the Swans are happy for an extended contract at a supposed reduced rate, I'm happy. At his best he's very good and while he won't get any more agile, he won't get shorter. The medical team need to earn their bucks and keep him from breaking down (an impossible task?)

If it's true that Tipp loves the club enough to to take a substantial pay cut to stay here longer, that's loyalty that's not often seen these days.

2 years at $900K or 3 years at $600K is good for both parties... if he lasts 3 years.

            Good for us, cap wise.
            Good for him, tax wise.

Surely Vickery deserves an honourable mention at this point.

Tippo's a good to very good forward/ruck, better than most others when he's playing well...Unfortunately that's becoming a rare event.

If his next 4 years average out at between 4 -500k..(I assume his yearly salary will be on a sliding scale) .

Then I suppose it's just bearable, that's assuming he gets on the park more often than not and contributes...Big assumption I know.

I'm surprised the Swans didn't make an announcement that Tippett had signed on until 2020

Well maybe its not true but if true maybe it suits both parties to not make it public knowledge. Why highlight to the rest of the comp that swans may have more salary cap room than they think or maybe it is just another fake news article.

Will be interesting to find out whether it is true. It just seems strange to say nothing to supporters then have someone blurt it out in a news article

                          He's injured.

                          AGAIN?

It's the same ankle injury as before. Apparently it has been flaring up after games.

Might as well put him on the long term injury list.
