It was all "we respect his decision", "we will do our best to work out a deal", "we would still love for him to stay".

The clubs that tried to poach him from us didn't bend backwards to get him, so he stayed with us. In the end, Tippett will have a choice either to stay with AFC or go to PSD and try his luck there.
I fundamentally disagree with this. ROK said he would like to return to melbourne if the right deal could be made. Tippett has publicly stated, and has signed a contract (albeit contingent on certain events) that the club offered him. It is not possible to compare that with ROK who never "left" but was waiting on the outcome of a trade.

To be sure Adelaide have made sure there is no way he can go back to the club so i don't think he owes them anything and their scorched earth approach to this trade and to their player does them a disservice. But we can't let him go once we made a decision to invest so much effort in getting him.

Joel Selwood gets knocks to the head, not concussion and there is a BIG difference (ask a GP). Jude Bolton I think has had concussion once or twice in his whole career. Concussion is where your brain gets bruised, not you bump your head & you are ok after a minute or so. I have had friends that have had concussions & you have headaches for weeks afterwards. It takes a long time to properly get over.

Typical of the Big Jesse to fail the medical, can't he get anything right

          Love this post on BF:

"so many sydney flogs...barrett is a closet swans supporter and a constant crows basher...if I hear another flog say that sydney hold all the cards and the swans are in the perfect position I'm gonna bomb that ******* radio station....the last caller just said that surely 22 and jessie white is a good deal for us cause swans can get tippett for free.....what a flog...I've no doubt Tiprat will get picked up by someone else in the PSD...so much arrogance by a team that only won the flag cause hawthorn can't kick straight and they had the momentum at the right time of the game...."

We don't owe Tippett anything than to do our best to make the deal work. He decided the leave the Crows, we didn't tap him up, if it doesn't happen he just goes into the PSD. I'd seriously doubt anyone would match our terms knowing they's be getting a player with his heart set on another club.

If it doesn't happen I won't be losing any sleep. We hold all the cards and we are in the perfect position

If no deal gets done, I reckon he'll go into the National Draft, not the PSD. Firstly, I think it unlikely any club will pick him before pick 23. Secondly, both he and the Swans will know his fate for certain by late November, rather than the uncertainly extend into December.

According to the Adelaide Addy White is still in the mix. No mention of injury.

This says it's pretty much a done deal.

This is an article which was written last night and put on Fox sports this morning. I think it's now been overtaken by events of the day.

Damn. Didn't look at the time.
I was a bit cautious about it given that the latest I read from 2 hours ago said no deal yet.

                        Adelaide's list manager said this:
"We have got a guy who has decided that he doesn't want to partake in our footy club, and he has gone - that is a win," Noble said of Tippett.

He infers Luke Parker has been tabled...." not fair on Parker, to comment, because it mightn't happen"......I hope this is just wishful thinking.

Give me Parker and Pick 23 (whom ever that is) over Tippett, any day.

I'm starting to wish Tippett would just go away.
