Our pick 22 is now pick 23 thanks to the FA compo picks just announced. Rest of our picks are 45, 65, 85 and 103 etc if I worked it out correctly.

Looks like this saga will drag on for a fair bit longer.

I hate that Parker's name keeps coming up in the media. No way I would even trade Luke for Tippett straight up. He is going to be an absolute star, and he's only 20. I would rather take my chances in the PSD and if we lose Tippett, so be it. I'm confident enough that one of our developing KPPs will step up enough to get us through.

I remember that the WB had the highest scoring team with Brad Johnson at FF. You don't even need a tall forward necessarily to score lots of goals. There are plenty of other avenues. And we do have Sam Reid, who is likely to develop further next year. I hope we stick to our guns and don't give anything more than 23 + White, or thereabouts.

                    Spot on!!

I just cannot see him leaving for nowt, though perhaps we need to trade a couple of peripherals (NOT Luke) and get them an upgraded draft pick.

We hold all the cards and they really don't have a lot of options.

If we don't end up with Tippett, I would imagine that there will be a hell of a lot of salary cap left next year - anyone want to speculate who will potentially be coming off contract and be a free agent worth chasing??

I don't agree with this. We made a deal and a play for the player. We owe him. We have made a choice and certainly made it two days after the grand final. If we were mislead by his agent that is one thing, but otherwise it actually does the club some harm to promise something to a player and let him down. It will make recruiting the next player harder.

Sorry, but I don't agree with this completely. Yes, it would be nice to see it through, but I wouldn't do it for any cost. We know what happened not so long ago with Ryan O'Keeffe's deal. The clubs that tried to poach him from us didn't bend backwards to get him, so he stayed with us. In the end, Tippett will have a choice either to stay with AFC or go to PSD and try his luck there.

I think Adelaide have made that choice for Tippett. After what club officials have said about him in the media since he made his decision known, how could he possibly stay there? It is in stark contrast to the comments made by the club - mostly Roos - when ROK said he wanted to leave. It was all "we respect his decision", "we will do our best to work out a deal", "we would still love for him to stay".
