"THE best outcome for the Crows is to show the courage they demand from their players and deny Tippett an easy passage to his club of choice.

It's time to put principle ahead of player and force Tippett to find his new home through the pre-season draft and accept nothing for him in return but restored pride and renewed respect."

Ok so first thing. Emotionally the Crows are a basket case. Completely letting their emotional control their judgement

What player or player manager is going to see this and want to go to that club? No one will touch them with a barge poll. Who would want that acrimony and goldfish owl environment

The threat of the PSD is ridiculous given clearly Sydney is the only club with so many prospective retirements.

I hope the delist him so they just look like complete idiots.

This is the funniest thing I have seen in a while. They are a laughing stock.

The ugly side of the Adelaide football club and their past players and supporters just keeps rearing it's ugly head.

It's almost revenge all these people are calling for. It's a wonder anyone wants to play for them.

Such a poor response to a player, out of contract, wanting to move on.

I hope this sort of vitriol and bitterness never infects our Swans.

I hope that the Swans management are helping Jesse get a start at any club other than AFC at this juncture. I really do. Even if into a feeder club in Melbourne. He deserves a bit better than what is being dished out to him at present.

OK, lets just drop the tippett chase and wait. No other club is going to want him anyway.

When the swans pick him up with no trade included the adelaide newspapers can go to town on the AFC management to their hearts content and vitriole them out of existence.

Signing off, at Post 1429. I have had it.

I agree with Primmy. Jesse does not deserve what he is getting at present. I know this is professional sport, but gosh it is getting pretty personal (both for Kurt and Jesse). I hope neither of these two gentlemen read all this rubbish that is written about them (and if they do I hope they are strong enough mentally to ignore it.

AFL website says deal was done on Friday, however Adelaide mysteriously pulled out.

They are a pretty unprofessional bunch from the looks of things

To be precise, the AFL website says that the Herald Sun says that the deal was done on Friday, however Adelaide mysteriously pulled out. So more journalistic rumour and innuendo.

                  Tippett?

Foxsports said it was done and dusted, probably a bit pre-emptive though!

I do too hope someone picks up Jesse, he has the potential but Swans top 22 will be hard to break into for him and he recognises that

If Jesse did consistently what we know he can do intermittently, he would probably be in the 22 and I don't think we'd be looking at KT.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Actually to be even more precise the Herald Sun was talking about the deal the was expected to be done.

It seems Adelaide is doing the best thing for their fans and not their club, their fans are diehards they will continue their memberships and go to games next year despite what some are saying. The best thing for Adelaide would be to take the pick and white and move on they are not going to get a better deal and putting him into the PSD gets them nowhere.

I was having a chat last night on this topic. If you were a parent and your 17 yo got drafted there how happy would you be knowing they would throw your child under the bus should they have the temerity to ever ask for a trade?
                            Badly done by AFC.

It will be hard for him if he does go to Adelaide FC as there will be a whole lot of baggage created by the handling off this trade. Grossly unfair on a good bloke.
Yes me too, it's quite unsavoury to be honest. Tippett's hardly the first guy to be unhappy at his club, the media are just fanning the flames and making a difficult situation even worse for all parties.

Let's cut to the chase on this debate. Have we, on any authority, any reason to be sure that the Swans are the only team capable of squeezing Tippett in under the salary cap? GWS has an enormous cap and they are just playing kids who surely can't be on big money yet.
