    I'll have a shot:

    LRT Richards Smith
    Johnson Grundy Mattner
    Hannebery McVeigh ROK
    Jetta Reid Goodes
    Rohan Tippett Morton

    Mumford Kennedy Jack

    Pyke Malcheski McGlynn Shaw

    EMG: Parker Bird ????

I've retired Bolton to make room!

Johnson, Mattner and Smith to play small. Considering the trouble we were in with big key defenders in 2005, we now have a plethora.

Killer forward line. Very good midfield and the best backline in the league, I think, has been improved.

If there's no injuries they'll be a few disappointed players running around in the 2's.
The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.

Worth revisiting this thread now a quarter of the squad has gone. Here's the starting point expecting now that Jude will play on, given the clean out, he has to play on!

      GF team
B: Rhyce Shaw Ted Richards Martin Mattner
HB: Alex Johnson Heath Grundy Nick Smith
C: Lewis Jetta Kieren Jack Daniel Hannebery
HF: Craig Bird Sam Reid Ryan O'Keefe
F: Jarrad McVeigh Adam Goodes Lewis Roberts-Thomson
Foll: Shane Mumford Josh Kennedy Jude Bolton
Int: Nick Malceski Mike Pyke Mitch Morton
      Luke Parker (sub)

So depth in terms of experience (someone may like to add games played to these) is McGlynn, Everitt, White, Armstrong, Rohan, Walsh 3, Mitchell 0, Lamb 0, and a few more yet to debut. Am I correct in saying there are only five players outside the GF team that have played an AFL game?

Next year promises to be very interesting in terms of our depth players. After the premiership 22 + McGlynn and Rohan, we have Everitt who played 12 games this year, Armstrong 8, Walsh 3, White 3, and Lamb, Mitchell, Lockyer, Brown none at all.

+ Cunningham who played a bit of the first game. Don't worry I forgot Harry too when thinking this over during a dull Friday arvo meeting at work....

I think (injuries permitting) we'll see a bit of Mitchell and Lamb next year with our reduced depth.....

I did think of Cunningham but noticed that he is still on the rookie list at the moment. Considering Mitchell, Lockyer and Brown didn't play many games in the ressies this year due to injuries, it is a bit scary. They are a fair bit short on match practise of any kind.

Still I am looking forward to seeing Lamb get a game and and hopefully a bit more of Armstrong.

              I reckon something like:

              FB: Smith, Richards, Mattner
              HB: Shaw, Grundy, Johnson
              C: Jetta, O'Keefe, Hanners
              HF: Rohan, Reid, McGlynn
              FF: Morton, Goodes, LRT
              R: Mumford, Kennedy, Jack
              INT: Pyke, Parker, Bolton
              SUB: Malceski

              Bird and Armstrong desperately unlucky.

              Everitt, White and Cunningham emergencies

Bird has to be in the side I reckon. Nobody else in the team can play his role, he's our mr fix it run with player/ defensive forward ( who can hit the scoreboard). Goes way under the radar but would hurt us if he were on the sidelines IMO.
