How sad - although as Scott has said good news relative to what could have been. Yes the defence line is looking decidedly thin now and the irony is that my Port Adelaide supporting relatives in Adelaide tell me Campbell Heath is going very well. But that's the way the luck of footy goes!

Sydney Swans utility Lewis Roberts-Thomson will miss between six and eight weeks after cartilage damage in his right knee was revealed.

Big loss having LRT out for up to 8 weeks, especially coming into a tough patch of the season. We'll look like a different team after the bye, with both Tippo and LRT coming back.

I also see that Sam Naismith is now listed as indefinite with a knee injury. Haven't heard anything on that one.

Bugger! But at least they'll make sure to do it properly.
              Better news on Gaz:

In other injury news, Cameron confirmed that Gary Rohan will make his long awaited return to team training over the next week after more than 12 months out of the game with a fractured tibia.

?Gary is running really well and has done lots of speed and agility work and he?s ready to start training with the team,? he said.

?He?s going to do some individual sessions this week with the footy and we?ll have him in with the team next week.?
              Really looking forward to that.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Hopefully we see Gaz in full flight this season. Would love to see him in full flight if he was forced to "earn it" with the back story.

I doubt there is a Swan in the starting 22 who wouldn't put their hand up to sit out when he is ready, just to give him a go. I like this club.
The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.

It's becoming one of 'those' injuries, that go on and on with little explanation.

Get this bad feeling that Reid will be 2-3 weeks away for over a month.

Agree Triple B. I also agree with those who said that on Saturday he looked as if he knew what he was doing, where to place himself and how to deal with an opponent. He has always been a big-bodied bloke and finally looked as if he'd gained significant understanding of how to go about his job. He could have been a useful player for us this season, and I hope the club continues with him.
