Changes for Round 16 - GWS

With Reid out, is it a simple as White in ?

Or will Jetta finally be ready....not sounding like it, unfortunately.

So I guess it's the former.....

    Out : Reid
    In : White

Sub : B Jack or Lamb

Wonder where Shaw is at....he could also come in as sub if ready.
Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it's time to pause and reflect... MT

Based on longmire's press conference I don't think White will be in as he thinks we're tall enough. Either Morton, or he hinted at another first year player.. Membrey?

In his press conference Longmire was asked specifically about White coming back in next week, and his answer was a very generic one that did not include one mention of Jesse. Also didn't sound very confident on Jetta returning for this game.

Morton should be first in the queue but he hasn't played any football in 2 weeks (weird team management there). Membrey and Towers have been the main forwards in the reserves, and in some games the only listed players playing forward. Towers only just got his first mention in the best list yesterday and for all the praise we've been heaping on Membrey, yesterday was only his second mention. The other emergency is Armstrong and bringing him in would require re-organising the defensive seven which I think they would be quite reluctant to do.

Cunningham has also done well since his return from injury but to play him forward or shift another player from the midfield to the forwards to accommodate him would be problematic since we have Mitchell, Jack and Lamb all playing that half-forward pushing up role already.

        I'd like to see:
        OUT: Reid (inj), Lamb
        IN: Morton, Jetta

After Reid's injury today, there's no way they'll rush Jetta back if he's not 100% right (and going by that SMH article last week it sounds like he's a bit of a way off returning).

I'd like to see Membrey get a run against GWS. It'd give him in the experience if not Morton then.

I'd like to see Reg replaced. He was such a liability yesterday.

I agree that Reg's decision making was on show in all its lack of glory, but which of our dominant key backs playing in the reserves did you have in mind to replace him?

One press report suggested that Shaw and Jetta will be back within a fortnight. We need their run when we face a good team again. But probably not in the seniors this week.

I'd probably bring Morton or a smallish forward in. We have enough height, but there were times when the ball was kicked to no one in particular fwd

I believe we need to replace Reid with a tall.

I would give Membrey a game. Have the resting ruckman and Membrey player deeper forward and Tippett at CHF.

Membrey in for Reid is the only change I would make.

Agree with you scott he was off his game yesterday, I would like to see Mitch back in he adds a little x factor.

Yes he was poor yesterday but I don't see a ready made replacement. If LRT were fit Reg might be at risk of losing his place.

I'd like to see Mitch in for Reid, my only real concern is Mitch has mainly played leading from the goal square and Sam would presumably have been playing higher up the ground. Not sure how easily Mitch could jump straight back into playing higher after a couple of weeks of no footy.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

It won't happen, as we don't have anyone to cover for him.
Hopefully, he'll just take the strong marks, and give it off to McVeigh.
