Wasn't Morton the travelling emergency on the weekend? He would have to have been over the injury to be the travelling emergency.

What has Lamb done to deserve being dropped? I didn't think Lambie was that bad on the weekend. I would bring Membrey in to play his first game and give him a taste against GWS. Then next week bring Jesse back. Quite frankly I would be tempted to give Reg a rest and play Xav if fit. Our backmen take a lot of pressure week in week out and the KPP backs are under the pump all game. I believe they need a rest occasionally. GWS have Cameron and O'hAilpin as their key forwards at the moment and I think Dre would be quite ok on Sentanta.

I agree Scott Reg is looking tired. We could bring Armstrong in or Brownie for his first game. I am not sure how Brownie has been playing but when I have seen him he has been impressive by his coolness in crisis. I don't think with GWS having Cameron and Sentanta as the key forwards we need two monster backs. We need mobile talls to play on them. I would be tempted to play Teddy on Cameron and Dre on Sentanta and bring either Armstrong or Brownie in if Xav is not fit and give Reg a rest.

Now that scenario could be a bit of a problem if Adam Tomlinson plays forward. Sentanta will do the supporting ruck duties but Tomlinson could come in and play forward and at 192 cms could be a worry if Xav isn't fit. Brownie could take him but Tony A would be too short. But it may be a bit academic as Tomlinson pays mainly back but as I say you never know with Sheedy.

The ball was kicked in so badly on so many occasions not even Jetts could have run onto the crap the mids and HB's were dishing up. We had BJ, Benny, Bolts & Lambie, two of whom were really good under very bad delivery. Benny had a bad day, Bolts needs to learn to kick to advantage. I agree Morton gives us something even if he is not getting a great deal of it he is putting on forward pressure and causing turnovers. But I think Morto for the next game not this one.

I'd prefer that we aimed to settle on a line up before we meet some sterner opposition, as opposed to blooding more debutantes. Beating WCE is vital for our top four chances. Mitch is the man.

I love the look of Brandon Jack too, though I'm looking forward to seeing him turn it on against a probable finalist. Btw, can we stop calling him BJ? Isn't it a bit kind of inappropriate? I mean to say how many Brandons are there in this team that we need to differentiate?

Bolton,Mcglynn and Reg have for my mind been getting a game because there's no better option, yes Benny started the year off amazingly well but his best and worst are so far apart its scary. Jude needs to be given another role or else Morton would be a better option in the forward line.Reg is just about the worst decision maker ive seen at our club,he is great in a contest but once he has the ball 9 times out of 10 itll go to the opposition, his kicking is embarrasing which doesnt help.

This week id bring in Morton,White [or Membrey],Towers
          out-Bolton,Reid,Mcglynn

At the moment players can turn in insipod performances week in and week out and have no fear of being dropped,oh that is except if your name is Jessie White.Hows about the same treatment for everyone, previous runs on the board can only get you so far, time to make a statement. So much talk about having to really earn your spot at the swans, although seemingly once youve done that your a protected species and cant be dropped. When was the last time one of our top 15 players were dropped due to bad form? Maybe Malceski? And look what that did for him, gave him the kick in the arse he needed and he hasnt looked back.
That's harsh considering the amount of injuries we have this season. I understand where your coming from, but if the depth isnt there (which it isn't when you have almost half a premiership team out), I just don't think its too wise dropping out experienced footballers from a team already impacted by significant injuries to important players, if you don't have experienced players to put in for them. Sure, we should beat GWS whoever we pick, but throwing in rookies is always fraught with a little bit of danger.

I think it's important to bring in Membrey this week, as the only other 'key' forward available at the moment is Morton (assuming that we are not going to play Jesse in the same side with 3 other ruck/forwards). We need to see if he can play in the seniors in case Goodesy and Reid don't come back this year, which is a very real possibility; and given the projected recovery times we've been given this year, you would have to say it was unlikely to see either. The way things are going with our injury list we may see Membrey, Xav, Towers and Brown all playing in the finals this year.

When was the last time the Swans had five debutants in one season?
              R & R I believe Sam is a ruckman size player. Jesse is the same height as Sam in fact and was a forward NOT ruckman, he has only started to play ruck since the Sub rule. So I don't see your logic. Jesse has played his best footy as a leading forward this year. I don't understand why people are saying we can't have two rucks, a CHF & FF. That is what all the top sides have, have a good look;

Hawks = Buddy FF, Roughy CHF, Bailey RR, Hale Ruck & they also have Gunston as HF or FP.

Geelong = Hawkins FF, Podsiadly CHF, Vardy RR, West Ruck ( at the moment Simpson ruck, Blicavs RR).

Essenson = Hurley FF, Gumbleton/daniher/bellchambers CHF, Rider Ruck, Bellchambers/Hille RR.

Collingwood = Cloke FF, Lynch CHF (failure), Jolly ruck, Whitts RR ( due to injury Hudson as come in as first ruck)

Fremantle = Pavlich FF, Bradley/Clarke CHF, Sandilands Ruck, Griffin RR. Unfortunately Dockers are in an acute injury phase and most of their talls have disappeared from the field. But if all were available they would look far different tha now.

So most coaches would love to have our dilemma. But to say we can't play a FF, CHF, RR & Ruck is just naive.

In his presser, McVeigh postulated White or Morton for Reid. Trying to outfox Sheeds on the matchups or waiting on the weather?

That isn't the impression Horse gave after last weeks game. I got the feeling Membrey is in the mix. I also get the feeling that a couple of other players might just find themselves having a rest from the way he was acting, all smirky.

I'd really like to see Jesse and Morton in this week. There should be plenty of inside 50s and we seem to be favouring the long bomb at the moment. If Jesse and Tippett can keep the KPDs guessing, take marks or bring the ball to ground, Morton's skill off scraps could be devastating.

There are a couple of names who have been on our list while; Jordan Lockyer and Alex Brown. Jordan has been type-cast as a defender of the future and Reg has had better months than his last, so it might be an opportune time to try the lad out. Not sure about Alex, Can any ressie watchers elaborate on these two?

It was an uncharacteristically shaky back half on Sunday, I don't think it is the time to be making unforced changes to it. Shaw coming in is hopefully the only change we will be making before the finals. Grundy will just have to sharpen up!!

I would bring in Morton to replace Reid but if he is not over his injury, White or Membrey. I don't know if Membrey has 'earned' a game yet though. I wonder if Cunningham has had enough games in the ressies to be considered and give either Lamb or BJ a rest.

They don't need a rest. We've only had 3 games since the bye.

By 'rest' I meant drop one of them! If we are having a look at some of our up-and-comers it would be good to see Cunningham have a run. I believe he is a speedster but has just recently come back after injury.
