Not sure about Alex, Can any ressie watchers elaborate on these two?

    Cheer, Cheer
Both of those boys are 191cm and would be likely to get a third tall. Dre could take Sentanta who also doubles as their second ruck. This would leave a 193cm forward to be taken and either of these guys could do that. But the main concern I have about Jordan is I don't know if he is ready for seniors. He is improving and doing quite well but seniors? Not sure about that. Brownie has been very consistent and when in the backline has proved to be very stable, clean and cool in a crisis. He, Xav, Biggsie and Jordan are a pretty formidable unit at NEAFL level. Add Tony A, Harry or Dick to the mix and they are more than formidable they are unbeatable.

In saying all that NEAFL is not AFL. The step up to seniors for a defender is a chasm to be stepped over. If young Xav is fit and he is not on the injury list by the way I would bring him in for a game. He is really exciting, a very good judge of the contest and has super delivery. One of the things he is also good at is getting clear and running the ball, he is deceptively quick and has a very long kick on him. He & Biggs take the kick ins with Tony A in the Twos but he is also a good hit up player for the kick in as he seems to be able to get space and take a very strong mark and make it look simple.

I would bring in Morton to replace Reid but if he is not over his injury, White or Membrey. I don't know if Membrey has 'earned' a game yet though. I wonder if Cunningham has had enough games in the ressies to be considered and give either Lamb or BJ a rest.
Lambs defensive work caused several turn overs that resulted in goals and his in close work was really good. You really want to rest Brandon Jack after kicking 4 goals and playing a great game? I think that is a bit premature don't you? Some blokes in our team obviously need a rocket, I won't name them but most have been around a while.

Actually I am quite happy for Lambie and BJ to stay in, I like them both and hope they are both going to be part of our team eventually. Am just trying to get Cunningham a game while this little window is open!

Harry will come in when Longmire is ready for him to come in. He has filled out quite a bit this year I notices, no longer a skinny kid. He played very well in the Twos in Newcastle apparently. He might come in for Jude this week. We gave Jude a rest at about this time last year (he wasn't happy) and could do so again.

Surely Morton (if fit) comes back in for Reid.

            No other changes needed.

Going by Kizza's comments today, I think Morton is a certain starter this week, and there's a chance we might see Jesse out there as well.

Why? You think this guy's form warrants selection to the 1sts? Seriously, it is not his gig. Morton in for Reid. At least we will get at least one goal from Morton.

I'm with you. He was doing some great work in the classic Swans big man sense - breaking packs and getting the ball down to the crumbers, shepherding, creating space, pressuring defenders. I'd like to see him providing another target up front to keep pressure off Tippett. Otherwise he'll be double-teamed every game.

Yep he'd absolutely kill it against GWS, play like the champion we all know he can be!

Then next week against West Coast and the week after against Richmond, play like the player we know he IS and go missing and give half hearted efforts when he's challenged.

I don't think Jesse has been half-hearted in his performances this year. I think he's been putting the effort in - Jesse's biggest issues aren't physical but are more centred around his understanding of the game and him building the mentality that he belongs at this level - both of which still have a long way to go.

I think he should come in for Reid this week.

Broken record comment. IMHO Jesse'e effort and execution has been good this year. I would be perfectly OK with him being selected for Sunday's game. He'd be a starter at probably 12 other AFL clubs and is a useful list depth player for us.

That said - I'd like to see both Jesse and Morton in. If just one change for GWS, Morton is ahead.

Agree. It was probably a fair criticism in past seasons, but he's undoubtably lifted his fitness and work rate this season and the results have been great!

I suspect people are stuck in the past and aren't judging on current form.

I expect to see Morton this week though. His defensive pressure is missed. Jesse is still a chance for a second spot though and Id love to see him there. He'd thrive alongside Tippett, just like we were hoping Sam would.

Jesse's been fine this year. One good game, two OK games and one poor game. I think he's shown a lot more intensity this year. He's not in the best 22 but he's pretty handy depth.

Having said that, I'd play Morton ahead of him. He's hardly set the world on fire either though.

Yes, I for one think if we are basing selections on form instead of reputation then he deserves to play this week as the second Ruckman ahead of Mumford. Do I think he is a better player than Mumford? No, but he has looked on the verge of ripping a game apart and I personally would like to give him every chance to do so, even if only to increase his trade value.
