Morto did not play last week he was first emergency so travelled with the team. History tells us that the first emergency on a travel weekend normally gets a gig in the twos next week. If either are to come in I think Jesse would have a better chance having played in the Twos in Newcastle and played very well. That doesn't mean Morto won't be there against Weagles or Wrechmond.

Cows
It's a bit off topic, but when I saw the names Weagles and Wrechmond, I had to post this:

I find it interesting that so many on here are so bullish about Morton and so bearish about White.
Mortons form recently this year has been ordinary.
Some good moments here and there, either pressure or score involvements but hardly setting the world on fire.
White has also had good moments, probably more than Morton, he can ruck if needed.
They're different type players obviously, but I reckon it's line ball as to who will get the nod.Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it's time to pause and reflect... MTComment

I hope both Jesse and Morton, if he is fit, get a game this week.
Looking forward, we need Mummy and Pyke to be as fresh as possible for the finals, especially as the return of Reid and Goodes in time is hopeful but not assured. If Mummy & Pyke have to rotate through the forward line as the 2nd talls, it means they are on the field working most of the game, which is said to be very taxing. That's okay for the finals if they have to but right now if Jesse plays alongside KT, Mummy & Pyke could still rotate through the forward line but they would get a lot more time on the bench and KT wouldn't have to relieve in the ruck. A win win win situation, especially v GWS.Comment

Well it's a Sunday game so they'll probably both get named and we'll have to wait until this time tomorrow to find out who is missing out. I am 100% behind the club policy of not handing out first team spots unearned though, so no "development opportunity" games thanks.Today's a draft of your epitaphComment

The name that sticks out is Xav. Good that he's recovered, but interesting pick because of his lack of match practice and no apparent need for him (if you discount Grundy's special moments).
I feel for Morton. Once you lose your place it's hard to get back in. I share the excitement at Membery though. The man who laughs has not yet heard the terrible newsComment

Mitch has missed a couple of the trot, if he wasn't a lock to come in then it's not too shocking for him to play in the magoos.I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his timeComment
