Yeah. I thought he was gone. Glad he was MRPed otherwise as there doesn't appear to be a deliberate bone in his body when it comes to taking out opponents. It would seem to go against his character to intentionally flatten someone.

Armstrong was great but there's no back line spot available at the moment.

I'm surprised Armstrong seemed to fall out of favour a bit. I would have thought Xavier Richards would've got more of a go too earlier in the year but obviously not in prelim considerations...

There is if you move Macca to the midfield to replace Mitchell. Mind you, he started in the midfield on Saturday, so maybe that isn't a change. And no-one else is going to get moved back later in a game to provide that "cool head" other than McVeigh.

Swans twitter announces Mitchell gone (effectively for year) and Tippett out of Freo clash, but may be available week after . . .

This is what I had decided as being appropriate.
I daren't say it though, for fear of jinxing the outcome.

              Happy now.
Ted would have been a massive loss, possibly the most important individual player in our side.
If AJ and/or LRT were fit that possibly wouldn't be the case, but with them not available, his replacement becomes Grundy, who i consider a very weak replacement, and Grundy's replacement would also be weaker than Grundy...

As I understood it, Biggs was drafted into the side to replace McVeigh who was used mainly in the midfield. It's true that Macca was moved back in the last quarter but to accommodate Armstrong one of the other 7 defenders (Ted,Reg,Rampe,Smithy,Mal,Dre,Biggs) would have to be dropped.

Will be a very competitive team to give the Dockers a contest now.

Yay me and all who said SuperTed was gonna be alright
I'm on a roll (hey - we've all sat on our lunch at least once) , so I will call it now : Swans to beat Freo by one point , Nick Smith sending us through with a behind after the siren.

Do you get a 1%er credit for busting a tackle when it looks like you didn't even notice it ?

So is LRT any chance this week?

                            In: Benny, Rohan/LRT
                            Out: Mitchell, Tippett

Good question. Earlier posts suggested he come in to replace Ted. But in the reserves GF he played as a forward. So how about he replaces KT and stays at full forward? May be a better option re his match fitness. Although if I was Ross Lyons I'd respond by getting my defender to run him around the park all game. Tricky.

I still think BLT will come in with Ted in the clear. Can anchor McPharlin in the square and make a contest. He would be just as happy for McPharlin to drag him into defence.
